Disclaimer: this is written poorly and has no beta so it sucks. The time skips are kinda confusing but it's 23:15 rn so bare with me.

Tommy stared long and hard at the child in his arms.
His Child.
He never once thought he'd be a father, especially this young.
'Why'd did i agree to this?' he asked himself as Wilbur finished signing the papers.

*A couple hours before*
It had been an exhausting day so far for Tommy. Being the last day of school he was tired. He had just finally gotten out of school and was now walking home with his best friend, Wilbur.
They'd met when Tommy was a freshmen and Wilbur a sophomore. Their first interaction had been in the schools yard and quickly they became friends once they realized how similar their interests were. They grew closer and eventually became inseparable. Now Tommy's at the end of sophomore year and Wilbur's junior year.
They lived near eachother so often spent time at either Wilbur's apartment or Tommy's house. Wilbur was going on and on about a two bedroom apartment he found that he really wanted when he got the call.
Wilbur had answered. Tommy still remembered the look of shock and panic that crossed his face. Wilbur quickly hung up and pulled Tommy along. They rushed to the train and made there way to the hospital. Tommy had been told Wilbur's sister(his only living relative) had gone into labor.
They'd spent hours in the lobby before they were allowed in. It was a girl. She had soft brown eyes and dark curly locks. She was beautiful, but unfortunately her mother didn't want her. The father of Vienna's kid had left her and she wanted little to nothing to do with her.
She had asked Wilbur to take her kid. Which he had agreed to, after all he didn't want the girl to be alone. And with a bit of convincing Tommy too agreed to care for the child. They'd spent hours on paperwork that Vienna had gotten ready since before the birth. After a couple hours, Clementine soot was officially apart of both his and Wilbur's lives.
---------
Tommy sat in the room cradling his now daughter Clementine. The reality of the situation began to sink in. He had just agreed to care for this child. A child he didn't know how to care for.
Wilbur had been outside talking with a doctor as Vienna slept. Once he walked in he explained to Tommy how they'd have to stay a few days there until the baby was okay enough to leave with them.
Once the doctor left it was only him and Wilbur left in the silence of the room.
"I'm sorry." Wilbur whispered breaking the quiet.
"Why are you apologizing?" Tommy asked.
"I pulled you into this, convincing you to sign off the rest of your time helping me care for a child that wasn't even yours." Wilbur said, guilt lacing his tone.
"Don't apologize Wilbur, it'll be hard but at least we're hear together. I'll help you through this okay?" Tommy said making Wilbur look up with a soft smile.
"Thank you Tommy." He replied before sitting next to toms and finally holding his daughter.
---------
Once Vienna and Clementine had been released they helped Vienna to her home. She lived with her roommate who helped them take out all the baby things Vienna had she no longer needed. It wasn't much, just a stroller, a couple pairs of clothes and a small crib.
On their way to Wilbur's home they'd gone shopping for more clothes, shoes, toys, bottles, formula, diapers and wipes. They had gotten weird looks for strangers. A few whispering about the teens having a kid, others speculating Tommy was trans. They simply ignored them and quickly left.
They'd fixed up the spare room made it the baby's room. By the time they had finished they were exhausted and the baby finally began to fuss. Noting it had been a while since the baby ate Wilbur went to fix her a bottle as Tommy called his parents to ask to spend the night.
After the baby had been fed, changed and placed into bed Tommy and Wilbur began discussing how to break the news to Tommy's family. It had been a week since they'd adopted the kid and they hadn't known. Finally they concluded it would be best to tell them tomorrow. They left the baby's door open to make it easier to get to her if she cried at night and made their way to their resting spots.
Tommy grabbed a blanket and a pillow and made his way to the couch. He laid down and slept. Dreaming of the possible problems that would arise tomorrow.

A/N
Short chapter, very lazy.
Might better it later but idk.
Also don't give your baby it's own room to sleep in until they are 6-12 months old. The things happening in this book are only happening because I'm lazy and stupid.
