Kaveh’s mouth opens a couple of times but no sound comes out, his cheeks are burning red and he looks slightly panicked, but when he finally speaks, his voice is small and timid, “what if— what if I need to stay for a very long time?”
“Then stay for a very long time, nobody’s using the spare room anyways,” Alhaitham avoids his eye, but it doesn’t stop Kaveh from taking a step forward, and with this single step he’s gotten very close; too close. Alhaitham is afraid he might read too much in between his excuses and dishonesties.
“What if I want to stay forever?” he tugs on Alhaitham’s glove.
