Work Text:
They took him away in the middle of the night
As a sacrifice for the village with no fight
A noble cause for the people they said
To keep the demons of the forest at bay and fed
They shackled him on an altar and left in a hurry
While the young man stayed quiet and worry
He grows tired and dreary from waiting for death
Until the sound of footsteps takes away his breath.
He looks up in fear and but sees a breathtaking scene,
the most handsome person he’s ever seen
A red-haired figure wearing a robe of red and gold,
With a grin that was almost bold
The figure walks up to the altar, steady and slow
While he studies the sacrifice from head to toe
The figure sits down at the altar and scoots up to him
Until he sees the fiery in his eyes which made things look grim.
The figure, a demon, took him gently by his shackled wrist,
“Don’t worry~ I won’t kill you, just tell me when you want to desist~.”
One of the demon’s hands held his chin
Then kissed him with a grin
The sacrifice’s fear melted away
Soon enough, he wanted the demon to stay
The demon coaxed him to lie down
Then he took off his gown
He could see all of the demon’s scars
But his purple eyes sparkled like the stars
The demon grinned down at him and pinned him to the altar
His courage again beginning to falter
The demon craned his head to the sacrifice’s neck
Nibbling it, and making the sacrifice a wreck
But then the demon bit down as if he was a snack
As the sacrifice’s nails scraped down the demon’s back
The demon let go and lapped up the blood
They then both laid down with a thud
The demon looked at him surprisingly with doubt
And said, “Are you fine with continuing this or do you want to pull out?”
The sacrifice paused for a moment to think
But kissed the demon in a blink
For the rest of the night, the forest with filled with uproar
Then the demon took what he came for
The villagers came in the morning and found the altar bare
Thinking that the demon killed the boy without a care
A year of peace, the villagers had
Until the demon came back with a human I might add
To their shock, the human was their sacrifice alive and well
While the demon burned the village with a simple spell
The villagers begged for mercy to end this cruelty
But the demon laughed at them with no pity
The demon left ruins of ash to the others
While only showing mercy to his love’s fathers
He and his love came up to them with hesitation
Until they hugged their child with great affection
His love let go and told them he had news to share,
He moved his sling to show a baby with purple eyes and dark hair
