This is part of a larger series I've talked about in my discord but not really written much for, called "The Boy and the Sea," where Sally Jackson is a witch and decides to enroll her son in Hogwarts in the hopes that it will put a great distance between him and any prophecies. He, unfortunately, does immediately befriend Harry Potter, subject to one such prophecy (though they both argue that it can't possibly be a real prophecy because it doesn't even rhyme-)

Summary
Leo Valdez ran away a lot as a kid. He hated his family that wasn't his mom, hated his foster families... Well, it was why he'd gotten sent to the Wilderness School in the first place.
The most memorable time was that time when he was eight when he met a nine year old who made the worst swords Leo'd ever seen in his life. It'd been a week of two kids in over their heads trying to figure out how to make the metal work for them, and then the kid, who he'd only gotten a first name from, had vanished; not before leaving Leo with enough metal to make a hundred tiny throwing knives, though.
And if this field trip to the Grand Canyon turns out bad, he might have to use them.

Summary
Tim knew that following around Batman and Robin while only armed with a camera was... perhaps not the best idea, so he decided he'd take a knife along. But he didn't have a combat knife, and he didn't want to use the kitchen knives because Mrs. Mac used those and would probably notice if he either forgot to give one back or dulled it somehow, because it's not like he knows how to sharpen knives...
But he does know that there's a few knives in his parents' artifact collection no one would miss! He'll just grab one of those!
