Summary
"Thomas Barrow is accustomed to feeling unwanted.
It is an uncomfortable, prickly feeling, made up of a thousand tiny sensations: a disapproving glare; a cruel snicker following a joke at his expense; a conversation stuttering to an awkward halt as he enters the room; a sigh of relief when he walks away.
He used to find a kind of vindictive joy in it, savoured the powerful feeling of being able to ruin someone’s day just by existing. He was a rock in the ocean, letting the waves wash over him, unconcerned by the water’s petty attempts to wear him down.
He forgot that even the strongest rock cannot withstand the ocean forever."
Starts somewhere in Season 6 and covers some of the events from both films, but takes a very loose approach to canon. Thomas' journey to realising that he doesn't have to be unwanted forever.
Includes references to canon-typical homophobia and Thomas' suicide attempt, but not described in detail.
