"Law... I should be going back to the Sunny now."
Soft sunlight seeps through the circular window of the Polar Tang, slowly lighting up the otherwise dark room currently shared by the two raven-haired pirates. Only the gentle wash of waves in the distance and light snoring can be heard, but the silence was ultimately broken by the woman, trapped in a spooning position against her secret lover.
"Law..."
"Mmm.."
"I need to go..."
At the moment, both crews are travelling side-by-side, hence every few days Robin sneaks out in the middle of the night to go to Law's. They'd share the night together and Robin would head back in the morning, keeping their relationship safely under wraps.
It has been at least a good fifteen minutes since Robin woke up, finding Law hugging her waist from the back—fingers very tightly interlocked, causing her to be unable to break free. He had to be aware of what he was doing.
The few attempts she made to pry apart his hands were in vain... Kind of. In all honesty, she believes that she could pry them apart if she wanted to, she just didn't want to risk hurting him with her newly manicured nails. She sighs.
"Law, if I don't show up on the Sunny for breakfast, they are going to suspect things."
She knows that he's partially awake, being the lighter sleeper of the two. Law always has a habit of sleeping in, while Robin tends to be an early riser, albeit a heavier sleeper. A few times she stayed over his room on the Polar Tang, he'd easily let her go back to the Sunny early in the day as he continues sleeping, so he was being exceptionally clingy today.
"Mmm, they can suspect all they like..." He mumbles.
"Law..."
"..."
"Tra-guy..."
"...five more minutes..."
Exhaling in defeat, she repositions herself to face Law's sleeping face. Law seems to have realised it and tightened his hold around her waist, pulling her further in for a cuddle.
Even though she had already seen his face close up a lot of times, his features still gives her a deep flush across her cheeks. She lightly traces her fingers across his chest tattoos—she finds them extremely enticing and wishes he'd expose them more often.
In their current position, Robin's eyes directly faces Law's lips, giving her an intrusive need to place her own lips on his.
Just a small peck...
And she did it. She felt Law's subtle grin as he slightly shifts a little to make them more comfortable in bed together. She reminds herself again that she needed to be back at the Sunny, not allowing herself to give in to more of her partner's charms.
"Law, I should really go... It has been five minutes"
"Just stay with me like this..."
"..."
Honestly, a huge part of her wants to succumb to the comfort and stay like this all day long. His embrace comforts her whole world, she feels safe in his hands.
In the room of quietness and the soft rhythmic waves of the sea, she didn't want to think of anything else but the moment with her lover.
She didn't mind at all if her crewmates knew about their relationship, it's just that they haven't found a good time to announce to both crews. Although, problems will likely arise considering they are from two different crews, which is why it was hard to break it to them to begin with. Neither of the couple liked to deal with too much questions.
Maybe... Just maybe, she should stop thinking so much.
As she loses herself in her own thoughts, Law finally opens his eyes.
He didn't want to let go as Robin in his embrace is everything he wanted at the moment, but he knew he can't keep staying like this.
Just five more minutes again, perhaps.
Law notices that she always carries around a white floral scent in her hair and it's pleasant, light and soothing. He loves it, even if he was never a person who liked scents much. Waking up with her right beside him easily puts him into a good mood. A few minutes of silence went by with him just appreciating how good she smells, how soft her skin is and how comforting her presence is.
"...I love you"
He softly mumbles into her ear and loosens his grip on her, bringing his hands up to cup her face. He gives her a quick kiss on the lips before sitting upright, earning a soft giggle from Robin.
She too sits up and instead of getting dressed to leave, she gives him a backhug. She rests her head on his shoulder and closes her eyes.
"I thought you're heading back to the Sunny?"
Robin hums, not moving an inch from her position. At that moment, she decides that she will deal with any possible consequences of her own actions at a later timing.
"Stay by my side forever," she whispers.
The both of them stay still and silent as the rays of the morning sun fully brightens up the room, while the Polar Tang continues its gentle rocking, riding the soft waves of the ocean.
Hugging like this all day long, that's all she needs at the moment.
This is their bliss.
"I love you too, Law."
