“Well…” She found his hands with her own and interlocked their fingers. “I was kind of hoping for something…” She looked positively giddy at the prospect of acting out whatever fantasy was currently playing in her mind.
“Tell me,” John said with a smile.

John felt a surge of heat rush to his face. He quickly and enthusiastically nodded. “Yes please.”
Charlie snorted and laughed heartily at his response. She pressed her forehead against his chest with a sigh. “You’re too much.”
“Sorry, was that not the appropriate response?” He combed a hand through her hair.
