It had happened so suddenly. Midoriya wasn't sure how he hadn't caught on sooner. But it was too late for last minute regrets about his situation. He was done for. Any moment the two villans who capture the newly debuted pro hero would kill him. This was it. His whole life had been about following his dreams in becoming a hero and once he had finally made it, it was taken from him so quickly. Other than not being able to say goodbye to his friends and family, Midoriya realized that he would ultimately die without any regrets. Well, except for one.

"Hey, would you mind if I made a sendoff for my readers?" Midoriya had come to terms that he'd been bested in a fight. With two random villains with no names or mentionable quirks. One For All surprisingly did not work anymore because of one of the villains' quirk (oh hey one's being mentioned!). After all his time at UA and finally becoming a Hero, it's rather shameful that he would be killed off so easily. Just who are these villains? Would they best Shigaraki? All For One? I-is this their Villain Academia? The true protagonists to this story, ready to take over once Midoriya is killed?

"what the fuck?" bad guy 1
"kid we're about to kill you." bad guy 2

"Yeah I know, it's just that I told my fans that even if updates are slow, I'd never abandon a fic unless I'm dead. Which I'll definitely be soon." Midoriya says casually, as if his last wish isn't to update his fanfiction readers.

"..." bad guy 1
"sure kid, go ahead. dont even think about calling for reinforcements." bad guy 2

"Oh don't worry about that, I wouldn't dare waste this opportunity to do something stupid like that. I'll probably die before someone even gets here and my fans would absolutely hate me for leaving them dry." Midoriya is one of the few authors that wouldn't abandon their fics even in the face of death itself. A true hero it seems, or rather MY Hero...academia.

72. UPDATE

Hey guys sorry this isn't a chapter. I regret to inform you all that I will unfortunately be abandoning all ongoing fics. But don't worry! It's not because I hate them or feel unmotivated, it's just that I'm about to be killed. So in lue of sending my friends or family my last dying message, I've chosen to instead send that here! To the people who actually cared for me for the last 8 years! :)
