Summary
Midoriya Izuku — part kid, part squirrel, all attitude — was just trying (and failing) to plummet dramatically to his death when a cranky underground hero decided to get involved. Now shirtless, stuck past curfew, and very much still alive, Izuku finds himself dragged to a dingy diner by Eraserhead, who apparently thinks pancakes and a hoodie can fix trauma. (Spoiler: they kind of can.)

Summary
After giving up as a hero at long last, Izuku finds himself lost as he approaches high school. But, after thinking that it couldn’t possibly get worse, his life is completely derailed when he ends up in the midst of a villain attack with his mother. Manifesting a quirk he didn’t know he had, he was able to fend off the villain, at the price of the villain’s life. But, after it all, Inko Midoriya died far before the paramedics could get to her, all that was left of her being the last words she uttered to him.
After that, his life was in disarray. His purpose was gone, and the one person that had always been there for him was gone too. Even though Izuku ends up in the care of a small foster home, would that really be enough to quell that hole in his heart, one that seemed to be growing bigger by the day?
Or maybe he could find something else that fill that cavern with. A purpose. Something exhilarating, something illegal, something dangerous. A way he could actually feel useful. He did awaken a quirk, after all, and there was no way he could be a hero. Why not use it to actually do some good?

After the death of his mother, Izuku becomes a vigilante in hopes of rewriting his regrets.

This year's incoming class was already looking to be a handful. He supposed that is what happens when you run close to a thousand barely old enough teenagers through one of the hardest selection processes in the world.
“So my main man, what kind of listeners are we getting this year?”
“Take a look yourself Mic” Combat boots clicked through the empty hallways of the prestigious school as the duo made their way towards the teachers lounge.
Whistling low, the energetic blonde was flipping through the pages. “What a lot my guy!”
"Of all the first year classes we’ve seen, this one looks to be the most versatile. Explosions, mental, water, electricity, creation, acid creation, hardening, tape, three heteromorphs, and half a dozen more, mix in some unknown power quirk and a dual user of ice and fire and I’d say this is going to be a headache.” Plopping into his old man chair he started to make a mental organizational chart.
