"And I can't rumor people anym-"
"Rumor!" Klaus cut her off involuntarily, his neck jerking and eyes squeezing shut along with the shout. "Rumor! Rumor! I heard a rumor!"
Allison frowned. She knew about Klaus' Tourette's, of course, but his tics hadn't been so persistent in so long. Something about the sudden loss of his powers and reintroduction to mortality seemed to thrust them back into high gear, and she felt bad for the man. It looked painful.
"Sorry" Klaus apologized after his outburst, his face a bit red with embarrassment. Embarrassment looked weird on Klaus. He typically didn't care. But, then again, with how much he'd been locked up for his tics throughout their childhood, Allison figured it wasn't that surprising. "Continue"
"Your tics are getting bad again" Allison commented. Klaus nodded timidly, his neck twitching a few times as he did so. "You know I won't judge you for it"
"I don't- Haha! Rumor! I heard a rumor!- I don't want you to think I'm- Rumor!- Mocking you or something"
"I know you're not" Allison told him and he didn't look entirely convinced. She supposed that was fair. She hadn't been the kindest or most understanding person recently. "I'm serious" she insisted. "You're fine"
"Fine! Fine! Haha! Rumor!"
"Klaus"
"I'm sorry" he apologized, shaking his head. She wasn't sure if that was a tic or not. "I'm sorry. Continue"
"It's-"
"Please" he begged. "Just continue" he insisted. "Talking about it is- Rumor! I heard a rumor!- Making it worse"
"Okay" Allison relented. "Well, as I was saying, I can't... Use my powers anymore either"
"So glad to know- Rumor! I heard a rumor!- That the whole family got fucked by the reset"
"Right..."
