Eddie realizes how he feels about Buck over a series of days falling asleep and waking up to him in the same bed.

“You coming to bed?” Eddie asks, sleep still calling to him and Buck seems to pause for a moment, hands scrunching into the clothes still held close.
“Yeah. I uh- yeah I was just gonna crash on the couch,” Buck says slowly, as if he wasn’t sure of the question.
“No.” Eddie grumbles, eyes fighting with him to close as he keeps them locked on Buck and he’s not sure but he could be pouting.
“No?” Buck asks, a nervous but amused smile playing at his lips.
“Come to bed,” He demands softly, resting his eyes for a moment.

Summary
Middle school is hell, to put it kindly. Gorgug does his best to keep his head down, hands in his pockets, back of the classroom, keeping silent.
It doesn’t stop the jeers of the other students from reaching his ears. Freak, they call him, even as they look at him with fear.
It’s not like he’s never heard the cruel words before. But recently, something in him has changed.
With each word thrown behind his back, he feels his heart pump faster, an anger growing in him that is terrifying in its power. He tamps it down, tries to smother it, spends his days being slammed into lockers in the hallways, tripping over his too large feet, and all the while, feeling so incredibly alone.
