Chapter 1

Chapter Text

Ningguang was a woman with a high reputation and even higher expectations, and failing that would mean failure in the business world. It wasn’t easy being the daughter of a CEO who expected you to be perfect from the day you were p̶u̶s̶h̶e̶d̶ u̶r̶ m̶o̶m̶s̶ v̶a̶g̶i̶n̶a̶ born.

Kazuha was a pothead who liked cats, the colour red, and hooking up with people from college parties to fuck and to hot box their dorm room with.
And while not going to that party meant ruining Ningguang’s reputation, going to that party meant losing her dignity.

Loud music pounded her skull and reverberated through her body.
Headache forming from not only the near constant abuse to her ears, but also from her body’s apparent hatred for what she had consumed throughout the night - multiple red cups sitting evident around the frat house.

Ningguang already felt the need to leave the place. Too many bodies in too little space, sweat sticking and dripping from every heated corner of the room. Tangles of arms and moving forms, gripping her tightening throat every moment longer she stood in that god forsaken party.

Finally reaching her tipping point, Ningguang shoved her way through to crowded into the bathroom, skipping the already furious line of people waiting longer than she had.

Sliding down the bathroom door, Ningguang gripped her screaming head in her hands and sunk into a ball on the floor.

“Ning?”

A soothing voice called out to her, slicing through her spiral like butter, ripping her out of her thoughts.
A quiet rap on the door following closely after.

“Can I come in?”

Ah, Beidou. She had come with her here, hadn’t she?

Shifting away to not continue obstructing the door, Ningguang made a move to rest against the nearby wall - the tile soothingly cold against her exposed, heat burned back. Ningguangs dress fabric shimmering in the dim light of the small, stained bathroom.

Ningguang barely heard as the door opened and cool hands ran down her neck.

Whipping her head around, Ningguang heard the slap ring out across the empty night air before even realising she was the one to throw it. “How dareth thee alas me while I wast malt-worm!”
