The Horrors You Birthed

Summary:

Inko had just wanted to infiltrate a cult to get information on their whereabouts. Unfortunately, she was caught though she got the information to hand over to authorities it seemed something came back with her.

Her body, her mind, her everything no longer seemed to be her own. The name Hisashi Midoriya is forever on her mind and around her claiming to be her husband but the man doesn't exist she knows no man of that name. Even if some how had a child despite this.

But her son was all that brings her joy but would even that end up betraying her in the end...?

Notes:

Hello~ Consider this a companion and more background heavy relevant to "The Horrors You Keep" and let me tell ya it's a LOT worse for the mother of Izuku. After all she never consented to any of this.

Enjoy!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

How could she have messed up like this? She was the daughter of a hero, a legacy to uphold.

Instead she was caught and... She doesn't want to think about it still able to feel their hands all over her body. She wanted to puke as that name entered her mind.

Hisashi Midoriya. Who is that? She doesn't know a man with that name-

Her body screams knowing she should go to a doctor but she barely made it out and all she wants is to go home. Slinking back to her home it was as if that nightmare was over allowing herself to collapse on the bed.

...Somehow she completely forgot about that incident. Returning to her original life after giving the evidence she did collect to the heroes. She was going to have a less life risking job, one that she always entertained.

It was a fresh start! She's sorry mama Nana. it seems she wasn't cut out for such a life risking life style.

"I have the weirdest cravings," Inko mutters as her mouth tastes of iron making her desire meat. She tries not to think too deeply about it as she pulls herself out of the bed she had just been about to cacoon into. Looking into the fridge she realized she hadn't bought anything when she got back.

No meats or anything nothing but some instant ramen.

"Of course not what did I-" A sudden heartbeat as the room lights turned off without warning. The hairs on the back of her neck stood on end as she could hear something slithering. Slowly moving toward the kitchen counter she pulls a knife toward her hand holding it behind her back, "Who's there!?"

Suddenly the sight of something moving across the floor brought out a primal fear as she screamed. Slashing at the air when it got too close suddenly the lights turned on and everything was normal. As is the dark shadow she had seen had disappeared once the lights had returned. Then she hears the sound of the kitchen fridge door opening and closing.

Just the sound was enough to make her point her knife at the ice box that had been mostly empty moments before. Slowly but surely she approaches it her hands shaking as she imagines what is hiding in there. A wild animal? A very small villain? A monster?

"You got this," she speaks to herself as she tightens her grip on the knife as she uses her free hand to grab the fridge. A deep breath as she stares intently knowing she was about to see something as everything told her to back away. To not open it and just leave.

She wished she had listened.

Slamming the fridge door open she is greeted by the corpse of a dog. It's mouth hung open as its eyes seemed to have been scooped out. But that isn't at all the first thing she noticed, it had no skin as if it had been peeled off with no blood anywhere. With a sticky note on it's body drawing her attention to it as she wondered what sick bastard would do this.

Eat up.

Inko couldn't even scream. As millions of questions went through her mind wondering who this person was. How were they able to move so fast to bring in a whole skinned dog? How could they do it? And the implications of that message, return for what?

She got rid of the dog's corpse praying it hadn't been someone's pet. She wasn't hungry anymore and went to bed on an empty stomach. Trying not to think about it but it wasn't to end there, it would have been too easy apparently.

This turned out to not be the only incident of gifts from this mysterious invader. Another gift was found but this time during the day but this time the creature was a cat. The note was different,

Was that meat not correct? Would this one do?

It wasn't as hostile but the tone was completely different but it didn't change the horrific state of the cat. The way the house seemed to breathe as if she was being watched for her reaction. Trembling as the skinless creature lay there.

Inko couldn't handle this. Breathing heavily as she tries to understand what was happening memories of that place swirled in her mind.

"No. Stop it! I don't want these gifts," Inko shouts memories of being captured. The trauma of their cruelty as they tortured and threw her in front of-

A small horrified thought came to her mind as her hand moved to her abdomen as she felt something. Movement along with a tinge of pain that she had thought was simply the start of her monthly visit. Maybe late but as she felt something moving despite how had thought it was soo early, too soon-

"Dear are you ok?" A deep voice speaks behind her making her shoot up. Her vision blurred making her almost puke only to now see a man. Who was-

Hisashi...? Oh... Her husband she has been trying to keep secret from her other life- Wait no she doesn't know who this guy is.

"W-Who are you? G-Get away." Her legs felt like jelly as she trembled at the sight of this man. Watching him walk over as her head was pounding as she stared intently though his gaze looked at the fridge.

"Seems my little brother left a gift. He's been worried since you returned," the man speaks as if they knew each other. Inko is about to snap at him to get out of the house before he suddenly kneels in front of her.

"He's being quite pushy. I'll make sure to tell him that and what food you actually would want," the man speaks as if Inko isn't trying to scramble away from him. Wondering who this man was only for those red eyes to finally turn to her like a predator sizing up it's pray.

Suddenly his hands were on her face as if the gap between them never existed or maybe she never moved at all. Feeling her head being lifted up but the man's touch felt cold, clammy and unnatural as she was made to look into the man's eyes.

"I'll take care of that little mess. Just keep doing what you need to do my dear," he purrs as his features darkened and the world seemed to melt. The whole apartment was pulsing and breathing almost more aggressive as if wants to clamp down all around her. And this man couldn't care less.

And the next day she woke up in bed. The incident was like a bad dream and the police never followed up on the dead dog she found in the fridge. Making her wonder if she ever even told them wondering if the trauma of that incident had messed with her head? She might need a doctor.

-----------------

"It seems you're pregnant," the doctor was quite blunt. He was quite a well known doctor which had surprised her that he would accept her. Though to think he could get the results so fast in the hour was startling just as much as the news.

"P-Pregnant!? How I never even-" Inko shouted only to stop herself. There had been one moment when was infiltrating when...

"Yes yes. Accidents happen but that is what the blood results show though I imagine being a mother hadn't been the plan," the man was quite blunt seeming to make it clear this wasn't a mistake. "The question is what are you going to do now?"

Her eyes widened as she registered the fact that this was something she seriously needed to think about. Despite the nightmare of something crawling in her abdomen it was still quiet smooth. There was no movement but then if I was pregnant I guessed it would be too early.

"I... I don't know. I haven't even talked to my family for a while nor do I even have a boyfriend," Inko admits. As she had some difficulties with her family or rather more about the occupation her mother was in. Always working as a hero and aspiring her kids to follow her to which Inko had foolishly tried to emulate.

Her brother had been right that heroes only end up abandoning families. As she had left with the intention of following a lead that knew heroes themselves couldn't follow. Now she was pregnant how was she-

"Ma'am are you alright?" The doctor questioned with a raised eye brow. "Well as it stands since you're pregnant you have to swear off alcohol. Though I do recommend a more iron or red meat rich diet as you seem to have developed anemia."

Inko tensed up as the doctor acted calm in contrast to her own panic. Wondering if she really wanted to go through with this.

"W-Wait, is um... Abortion an option?" Inko speaks softly. "I don't think I am capable of raising a child by myself."

The man seemed puzzled at those words looking at her as if she had grown a second head. "By yourself? You came in with your husband didn't you? Can't he help?"

Huh? S-She did?

"Husband? I don't have a husband-" Inko speaks only to feel a sense of dread as something came into the room. Her eyes were trained on the doctor who simply looked at her puzzled even as she felt that thing right beside her.

"The nurse said I could come in?" the thing wearing human skin spoke and she felt his hand move onto her shoulder. Inko was wondering who this man was, she had thought it was some nightmare but he was real. Her eyes slowly glancing at his hand that seemed to almost shift into something unworldly unable to speak.

"What's the news?"

The doctor seems to be unbothered nor seemed to notice Inko's more then horrified expression. Though he seemed to be bowing his head just a hint, "She's pregnant sir and we were just discussing what the next step would be. You should be here for that conversation."

The man seemed so pleased as the hand that had been on Inko's shoulder moved to rest on his head. "That's wonderful dear! It's what we have been waiting for~"

Inko slowly began to realize that she was somehow in her own special hell. Unable to ask for an abortion with that man there wondering who he was. Whenever she seemed to be doing something out of the norm he always seemed to appear.

While everyone around her kept saying she always had Hisashi as her husband. They had been the cutest couple, they had been married for quite a while. They seemed puzzled when she tried to claim it was impossible as she was undercover for years-

She felt insane. As he wasn't home, he didn't live with her yet no matter where she went that seemed to be the truth. Everyone kept claiming this Hisashi Midoriya was her husband-

"Wait, my brother. He can clear things up-" Inko knows it would be a bit rude since knows unlike herself her brother had been happily raising a family. Then it happened again the whole place seemed to darken the walls seeming to breathe. Pulsing with each breath as the walls seem to creak under the weight.

Go ahead. We can always add more to our fold.

The creature in the walls seemed to be daring her as coos almost mockingly from it's position. A threat? A dare? Or did he already-?

"You aren't real," she whispers as tears were in her eyes still holding her phone tightly in her hand as the room darkened. Suddenly feeling so small and helpless as the world seemed to ache and creak under some invisible force. "Leave me alone."

It grew quiet... But she could tell it never left.

--------------

Despite the debate with herself after a while she convinced herself the pregnancy was not whatever that thing was. Knowing she had been assaulted while being infiltrated the name, Hisashi, had been the one plaguing her.

Isolating her. Gas lighting her while using everyone around her. She didn't know what to make of all this, or maybe she did get married? Maybe whatever that group did to her just messed her up so badly. Was she just going insane?

This time she didn't wake up alone. Able to see the 'man' who was her husband looking at her with a smile that didn't reach his eyes. His hands brushing against her hair as a small purr seems to escape him.

"It's time."

The feeling of slick between her legs and an unimaginable pain in her abdomen makes her jerk up. The pain radiates from her lower region and her abdomen as a loud cry escaped. Watching the bed change colors, It was too soon it only been a few months not even the nine. It hurts it hurts so much she feels like it's trying to rip out of her.

Able to feel the man coo softly into her ear as he whispers.

"Happy birthday to our son..."

Memories of the birth seemed to just disappear. All she can remember is the fear of dying and being unable to open her eyes even as something seemed to rip her open... Then it was like all the horrors disappeared.

Her 'husband' was no longer around suddenly he was over seas sending money to her bank some how while she is left with a baby boy. Izuku Midoriya.

"You're so small," she notes softly as she pokes and prods the small thing watching it giggle happily. Her normal baby boy and all the terror seemed to have just disappeared as she was in bliss. Pulling him close to her face she nuzzled him earning a happy giggle from the small thing.

Like the end of the nightmare she settled into routine. Making friends with the Bakugou's she became good friends with Mitsuki. Pairing up their kids and they seemed to hit it off even if Izuku seemed so much shyer.

"Mama! Look I'm a hero!" The small boy cheers happily in that little hero onesies with bright eyes. A small giggle escaped her as it seemed her nightmares were truly over as she watched him run over into her legs. It was hard to believe how terrifying the years before her son's birth were but they were safe now.

Being a parent certainly wasn't easy having to change his diapers and feed him constantly wasn't easy. But since her husband provided everything she didn't need to fear anything.

------

Until her son began to exhibit odd behavior. It was the middle of the night she had attempted to teach him how to sleep in his own bed when she heard a thump. Like any good mother she woke up instantly with a wave of concern as it sounded like something had fallen as she rushed over to her son's room.

"Izuku are you ok?" She raised her voice just a bit in worry but what she saw was not what she had expected to see. Her two year old son was standing facing the wall that was toward her room. Unmoving, quiet, unlike the excitable boy during the day as just stares silently at nothing.

The wall that her son was looking at was slowly pulsing outwards as if pressing against her son. Who seemed to be in a trance the fear she had thought she was over returned. Her son didn't seem to be hearing her as she rushed over.

"Oh mama. I was talking to my uncle-" he suddenly looked confused looking around. "Huh? Where he go?"

"Uncle? Your uncle isn't here," Inko notes as the unease grew the wall seemed to have turned back to normal as did her son. The confusion on her son's face was clear as he perks up seeming to be excited to tell him about this disappearing uncle.

"He's papa's little brother! He is very nice and said hopes can visit me with papa- Wait that's weird he was just here? I thought he did visit?" Izuku looked confused trying to comprehend what he was saying. It was gibberish, nonsense.

Though she does remember the... Gifts and her blood ran cold as her memories reminded her of the first few nights she had returned.

"Seems my little brother left a gift. He's been worried since you returned."

There was another entity and her 'husband' wasn't truly her husband at all. But some entity also that watched the hell has she been doing!?

"Don't talk to him again. Please he's very bad," she warns as memories of that cult return.

She was a fool.

"Huh? But he says he's nice even if weird he just wants to visit-"

"ENOUGH!" Inko shouts unable to keep pretending it was ok as her son was talking to some other worldly entity that was some how living in their walls. The small boy shrinks looking up in terror as if his mother had never snapped at him. Tears welled up in his eyes and there was instant regret as she realized what had happened.

"I'm so sorry Izuku. Just... That's a wall there was no one here. It was just your imagination and you should ignore it," Inko speaks softly with a gentle smile as she holds her son's hands. He was too young to worry about such things she needs to leave some how.

"But they were real tho-!" Izuku protested seeming hurt that his mom was saying it was his imagination.

"Please," Inko pleads watching the boy look upset wanting him to understand. If doesn't pay them any mind they will leave they clearly were interested in her son. They had stopped bothering her but now they were targetting her son.

Izuku grew quiet as looks down there were slight tears in his eyes but he nods his head in acceptance of his mother's wishes.

"Ok mama..." He whispers softly even as the apartment seemed to darken as if displeased nothing else had happened.

"Let's sleep together," Inko chimes softly as she lifts him up into her arm. Taking him out of the room just in time to see something like a tentacle slide back underneath the bed. Her heart was racing as she left the room locking the door thinking maybe they could stay together a bit longer.

-------------

If only that had been the end of it. Many of the kids began to exhibit quirks. Little super powers that many would end up developing at four. Izuku, however, never seemed to develop anything able to notice the other kids starting to treat him differently.

"Bye Deku!" Bakugou shouted with a mischievous grin while Izuku seemed almost distressed. The boys always played together but these days it seems as if Izuku is having less and less fun on outings.

"Deku? You have a nickname?" Inko questioned though it seemed her questioned only made him tear up. Slowly it clicked in her head it was not a nice name looking at her son as she shifts to kneel down.

"Is Bakugou bullying you? Do you want me to step in?" Inko questioned only to see him shaking his head. Those tears are still in his eyes as he stares back almost pleading for her to not get involved. A small sigh escaped her guessing it would be more humiliating having his mom step in.

If only she had ignored his request and stepped in.

One day the kids were supposed to have gone off to catch bugs. But when evening fell the whole apartment complex went out to search for the lost boys.

"I told that boy not to go here! I swear I'm going to ground him so badly if everything fine for giving me a heart attack," Mitsuki shouts with annoyance while Inko is trying to hide her anxiety that her 'husband' has returned. Did he finally come to take Izuku? What did that thing even plan to do with him?

"Mamaaaa!" Izuku!

Inko didn't even wait as she ran toward the voice even as Mistuki tried to stop her but she was running with all her strength. Her baby might be hurt! Kicking off her heels she didn't care only to find him at the bottom of a small stream. The small boy full out crying...

And clothing of some of the other boys that had been there. Filling her with a sense of dread as he was crying so loudly slowly looking up reaching out to her as the water seemed almost black around him. A fear permeated her being as those eyes filled with tears scared and confused at what was happening.

Despite her fear she pushed on, lifting him out of the black water the very action seeming to purify. But the clothing... It was only natural that she did what she did next grabbing the clothing that were littered around Izuku. Practically shoving them in the small cramped space inside the log to hide evidence of what happened. The gap more then big enough for some kids remains.

Carrying the child she tries to return to the group and it seems, to Mitsuki's relief, that Bakugou was fine.

"Get your butt down Katsuki!" Mitsuki was shouting as it seemed Bakugou somehow had gotten quite far from where Izuku was. Seeming to some how had scaled a tree despite his eyes which was impressive. Though he was clearly rattled even though his mom was trying to pry him off the tree with the help of her husband.

"No! He's still here!"

"Who is!?" Mitsuki shouts and as if some how her son had sensed Inko and Izuku coming onto the scene the boy let out a loud scream.

"Keep him away from me! My friends are gone because of him!" Inko realized that Katsuki had in fact seen what happened even if they covered up the clothing they would figure it out.

"What are you talking about!? It was only you and Izuku out here?" Mitsuki shouts almost exasperated. There is a moment of dread as Inko watches the confusion on the boys faces who had likely witnessed something he shouldn't have.

"Y-You cow! I wasn't with just him!" Katsuki shouts but it seemed his confusion was enough of a chance for Mitsuki to yank him from the tree.

"Got ya! I swear you're acting so off this isn't like you," Mitsuki shouts as her son was flailing and screaming profanities. Inko couldn't even bring herself to confirm anything but she could feel something on her shoulder as she heard a voice.

It is like they never existed. A pity he didn't get the last one.

"Inko are you alright?" Mitsuki questioned being able to easily ignore the very visibly ignored Katsuki after passing him off to his father. Inko couldn't understand she could feel the hand on her shoulder yet no one was reacting. Can they not see him now? Does he pick and choose when he wants just for his own amusement?

"Y-Yes, Izuku is just really upset I'm glad we found them so let's go home." Inko spoke with a smile despite the dread as the implications slowly stacked up. That her own son had gotten rid of the other 'friends' that Katsuki had and they were erased. As if they never existed the void the parents must feel.

"Mama, I didn't do it," Izuku whimpers as if he didn't know what happened and Inko doesn't have the strength to assure him of his innocence. Simply whooshing him softly to soothe him as they returned to their home to return for the night. Praying that they can sleep, to return to normalcy and pretend everything is ok.

...What a lie.

Her son was suddenly plagued with pain crying and sobbing for days on end with a fever. The sight of something crawling underneath his skin was mortifying as he was unable to understand what was happening.

"Mama it hurts. It hurts," he sobs as he holds his stomach as it seems to distend and move underneath. As if his body was just much too small for whatever was inside of him and Inko realizes this is what that thing was waiting for. Vulnerability, a moment of weakness to twist her baby boy into something unimaginable.

How is a mother supposed to help her four year old son who is screaming and yet every visit they are like he's fine. No one hears them, no one sees them, as if there was some fog over everyone's mind around them. Unable to see but what HE wants- Or maybe she's the one seeing things wrong.

No-! No not again she couldn't take this, that thing was going to turn her baby into some monster! She can't!

"Shhh shhh it's ok mommy is here," it has been a week and there were no improvements. If anything he has worsened unable to even cry anymore as weakened against the assault.

She has to free him. She carries him in her arm able to feel something moving underneath her son's body. Crawling and pushing against his skin making him cry in pain as she grabs a knife knowing she had failed.

"You're so strong... I love you very much you know that?" she whispers softly as tears were in her eyes hating that she had allowed herself to live this lie for so long. Bringing a boy into this life just to suffer for something he had no control over as the boy nods his head. A sharp breath as she moves the place the blade to the back of Izuku's neck, it would be quick.

"I'm sorry I can't let him take you," she apologizes with all her heart wishing she had some other way to prevent what was happening. The boy moved twisting just a bit and instead of a clean cut in the neck it instead went into his back. Eliciting a horrifying scream in her ear feeling it rupture and without meaning too drop Izuku as she screams as well.

Her hand goes to her ear able to feel blood but that wasn't the danger from that would as if the damage had opened up the 'appendages' that had wished to escape burst from his back. Izuku was sobbing the tentacles were so large covering the whole living room as his blood was a black ichor.

"Izuku! I'm sorry I didn't mean too-" One reached out to grab her and pulled her only to throw her as her baby was no longer himself. Those green eyes that had been sobbing slowly turned white and cloudy as they looked at her. That was not her son, "Izuku please snap out of it!"

The tentacles squeezed tighter and caused her to howl. Digging and stabbing into her body as if to return the favor.

This is the end of the story of Inko Midoriya. By the time Izuku had snapped out of it his mother's body, while alive, was a riddled mess that had been tortured over and over in her own mind screeching and lashing out. Making him run to hide under the couch...

Only for them to finally come and take his mom away. The last words he can even remember burned into his mind.

"A'forne! Don't take him! NO NO STOP LET ME GO PLEASE NO!"

As if somehow there was a fate so much worse then death and all Izuku had was an empty apartment.

My boy, you are growing so well....

And a father who lives in his walls as his uncle no longer speaks.

Notes:

That was quite an intense ride. Poor Izuku is now all alone with nothing to protect him from his father's prodding and influence. As like before here's some side information~

Side Facts!

Yoichi only stopped because unlike his brother he accepted that Inko didn't want him talking to her son. Though he doesn't get it he guess he will just wait when can literally visit.

Hisashi Midoriya does not exist and is just a hallucination that Inko sees. But also something that has been 'projected' into everyone's mind to exist, so why does he appear in person to Inko? Well, he's kinda curious how the husband thing works!

Yeah kinda messed up.

Izuku was literally about to 'awaken' so to speak by being stabbed it snapped him out of that state but unfortunately it still lashed out as a defense mechanism and hurt Inko.

What happened with the kids is basically the water thing happened. But Izuku had a mental melt down as while Yoichi stopped talking to him his dad was much more subtle telling him how much his friends hated him and it became reality when Bakugou slapped his hand away. Then tentacles and interdimensional stuff happened, Bakugou was just faster and Izuku still wished to be friends is all that saved him.

Hope you enjoyed~!
