Since long time ago Hollyberry Cookie and Pitaya Dragon Cookie are in a relationship, but they wanted go to the next step: starting a family.
Imagine a walk in the berry fields holding a tiny hand, having a little picnic and enjoying time in family, cute right? They wanted that dream a reality.
With some of their ingredients the couple were ready for bake the baby; the probability that a small cookie would come out in the oven was small but not impossible however, a normal cookie and a dragon cookie are baked with different ingredients and maybe nothing happens if these get together but we didn't know until try it.
Everything was ready: fresh dough and a cookie cutter, Pitaya extends the dough and Hollyberry uses the cutter.
—Well time hasss come— says the red dragon
With hopes the pink haired cookie gets closer to the oven
—Yes! Hope we succeed this time…— Hollyberry put the raw cookie inside and closes it then puts the oven to work.
Both cookies started looking at the object with glow in their eyes while holding hands hoping for their expected result, the object took out a glow seconds before finishing baking what was inside. Both cookies began to tremble with excitement and opened the oven to see the final result.
—...what?— they looks the burned dough with disappointment because ingredients didn't work... again
The red dragon takes the dough to see it with a sadness and the queen with tears in her eyes just sighs
—Why this is so hard?… What did it failed?… Maybe I’m so dumb or...— says in trembling voice starting to cry
—Don't blame yourssself dear, we failed thisss time but in the next one maybe and finally we will have our baby— comforts the partner hugging her
—You know I don’t give up easily but... We tried it eleven times and nothing—
—Yeah, but we can try again and again right?— says the partner with a comforting smile
—Yeah... but maybe tomorrow… i'm so tired— answers with sad eyes giving her best smile
—Excellent, that's the Hollyberry I know!— Pitaya yelled happily giving a kiss on her cheek
On the road back to her kingdom the dragon started some chit-chat with her to forget about the recent event and apparently worked; arriving at the balcony of the queen's room the dragon drops her carefully, says goodbye and then goes to dragon's valley to rest.
The queen gets ready to sleep hopping for a better result tomorrow, she wanted to ask White Lily Cookie for some help but she decided to not since she’s always busy doing her research but, asked for some advices before.
In other side, the dragon was losing hope and thinking that the baby should be made with only her ingredients since apparently if their ingredients get together nothing happens or wait…
—That’sss it!— says lifting their whole body while staring at their sword
—The anssswer was ssso obviousss, how I didn’t think about it before— uses the sword to make a cut in their hand
The next day they arrived to the oven ready to make another attempt
—What are you carrying lizard?— asks the queen while the mentioned one pours the liquid into the mixture
—Oh thisss? It'sss my blood and don't worry, it felt like a cut of paper— answer with a chuckle showing their healed hand
Holly didn't know how to feel about that information but she continued with the process.
They carefully calculate the amount of each ingredient that was added to the mixture. She mixed to create the dough and the couple take the cookie cutter to used it.
Already having the shape of the cookie it was time to put it inside of the oven and wait for the result; unlike the other times this time it had taken a little longer, but their hopes were more high.
—Do you think that was what we needed?— Holly asks with some nervousness while looking at the oven
—I don’t know really but it’sss worth a try— answers looking at her for a seconds and get their view back to the object
Few seconds after that talk the oven took out a light implying that what it contained inside was already ready. The couple with fear tried to open it but a noise had interrupted them.
It was a baby noise
Both with watery eyes opened the door quickly to be surprised with what was inside: a baby. Pink hair and tan skin, just like the queen but had a scalded red greenish skin on the sides of the face and arms accompanied by a tiny dragon tail, tiny wings and little horns.
The couple were happy holding their little one after a lot of failed attempts after all the tears and loss of hopes, finally they had their baby. Feeling the warmth of a newborn was a caress in the heart.
Both were crying with joy while hugging each other tightly (not so much to not hurt the baby), the red dragon waves their tail with excitement and gives a forehead kiss to their wife and newborn.
—We did it lizard, the time finally came— says the queen looking at her baby
—Yes, our little berry—
