“How can you be so obtuse?” Lan Zhan abruptly grabbed Wei Wuxian by the collar of his inner robe, the only robe he was still wearing, and pulled hard. Wei Wuxian tensed, even as he slumped forward. He waited to be shaken or thrown (because Lan Zhan was too much a gentleman to strike him with bare hands), but what came next was a different kind of assault entirely.
Wei Wuxian felt a sudden warmth against his lips, then pressure… It took his brain several long seconds to process the fact that he was being kissed.

[....] Wei WuXian’s body walks out of the Burial Mounds but his mind is shoved into the passenger seat, watching in horrified screaming silence as he slaughters the Wens, tortures Wen Chao, and hugs his brother who doesn’t see the unfamiliar smirk behind his back. When the war is won, It looks at Itself in a mirror and smiles at Wei WuXian and winks, “My turn to play.”
During the Phoenix Mountain competition, Lan QiRen passes Wei WuXian and hums an old Lan spell to ward off evil. He mostly does it out of spite, a subtle snub to a heretic, but in that moment, Wei WuXian spins around and grabs Lan QiRen’s wrist. Lan QiRen goes to tell him off but freezes at the look of naked begging fear on Wei WuXian’s face. “Help me,” he whispers, “Please help me.” An instant later, Wei WuXian’s face smooths over into the familiar wide smile. “So sorry! Thought I saw a fly.” and walks off. Lan QiRen stares at his back and realizes with rising horror that Wei WuXian has two shadows.
