Work Text:
Nile scratched her head before she made a pouty face followed by a hmmm. This continued for the next couple of minutes. Andy, who was lying on a bedroll, looked at Nile.
Andy: "Something wrong?"
Nile: "Joe and Nicky are sending weird texts. I think they might be a bit drunk."
Andy laughed.
Andy: "Given they have been on a mission, there is a bigger chance they are more horny than drunk right now."
Nile: "And how do you explain these pics?"
Nile turned the phone and showed Andy three pics: a dromedary, figs, and a church.
Andy: "That's not weird texts. That's the boys' current location."
Nile: "Don't get it."
Andy: "The boys love animals, food, and architecture, amongst many things. They send pics when they want to tell us where they are or want to meet up. Back in the day, we would get a drawing or something else that related to what they love. Now, we get a text. While I sleep, try to decipher the pics."
Andy placed her jacket over her head to get some sleep. A couple of hours later, Andy stretched her body before looking at Nile.
Nile: "Ok, I know where they're. Once I figured out what church it was, it was easy enough. They want us to meet in front of The Cathedral of St. Vincent de Paul in Tunis. And I also find out that the dromedary is the national animal in Tunesia."
Andy: "And what month do they want us to meet?"
Nile: "They didn't write that. Maybe..."
Andy: "Yes, they did. Come over here with the phone."
Nile sat down next to Andy.
Andy: "Figs have two seasons where they're ripe. June and August. And since we're in July, they mean August."
Nile: "Got it."
Andy: "Now, take a look at the pic of the church and where the sun is in the sky. Remember, we're from a time before watches on phones. The position of the sun gives you the time of the day. We have taught you how to read the sky, so do it."
Nile looked at the sun and did what they had taught her.
Nile: "2 PM?"
Andy: "Are you asking or answering?"
Nile: "2 PM. But what day?"
Andy: "Count the pics."
Nile: "We're meeting in front of The Cathedral of St. Vincent de Paul in Tunis on August 3rd at 2 PM."
Andy: "Then let's go to Tunis and see if you're right."
Nile hoped she hadn't got it wrong the entire way to Tunis.
Joe: "Wow, Boss is on time for once."
Andy: "You're still not funny, Joe."
Joe: "Admit it. You have missed us."
They all hugged before they walked back to the safe house Nicky and Joe had in Tunis.
