The Soul pokes and prods at his food with his fork, see, he’s currently eating dinner with Heart and Mind, but it’s quiet.
Almost too quiet.
No one’s said anything yet, which is rather odd considering how often Heart and Mind seem to find random things to fight about, no matter how unrelated said thing is, perhaps Soul’s just overthinking things though.
(Mind, could you-)
[No.]
Ah, there they are, Soul was honestly starting to get a bit worried.
(What do you mean no? You don’t even know what I was going to ask for.)
[I don’t need to know; the answer is no.]
Mind rolls his eyes and Soul almost has to keep himself from laughing, he knows that this isn’t necessarily funny, but he wants to laugh about it anyways.
(Well fuck you then.)
Heart nudges Mind a little with his wing, Mind, being the dramatic bitch he is, falls off his chair, making a loud thump when he hits the ground, making Heart jump a little.
[How could you?!]
Mind lets out a dramatic gasp before getting up and sitting on his chair once more, Soul raises a brow at Mind and Heart looks around in a confused manner.
[The fuck are you staring at?]
{Nothing.}
Soul shrugs and looks down at his plate and shoves some food into his mouth, it’d be a shame if his cooking went to waste because of Mind, Heart seems to have calmed down and is also eating.
(This is really good, Soul!)
Soul smiles slightly.
{Thank you, Heart, it’s good to know that someone appreciates my cooking here…}
Soul sends a not-so-subtle glance at Mind as he says this, Mind looks at Soul in an offended way.

Soul laughs a little.
{Kidding, kidding…}
Soul smiles, he may not act like it, but he really does care for Heart and Mind, they’re like his brothers, and he loves them.
