Day 6: Heroes

Work Text:

Heroes are good guys. They save people in need. Villains on the other hand are bad guys. They do bad things.

So why in celestia is he, a hero getting saved by a villain?

So it all began when he woke up this morning. He did his shower and morning skin care routine, before eating a healthy breakfast. Then he took a stroll through the park, sat on his usual bench to feed the birds before being on his merry way to work. It’s a blessing the park is so close to his work place.

When he was going to enter his office, preparing himself for whatever Hu Tao decides is amusing his ring started beeping.

A villain is on the loose.

He changes into his costumes and goes to the highlighted spot. That’s when he spots the huge slime monster. He already felt like piling just from looking at it.

Dear celestia he is in so much trouble. But he had to push on for the safety of the citizens of Liyue.

He started attacking the monster, but the more he shoots his geo power at the the bigger it gets. It’s one of those monsters that need to be attacked with physical attacks. Accepting his fate he took out his polearm and lunged for it.

He almost recoiled as the slime started dripping on him. Just as he was close to subduing it, he heard a familiar smug voice.

“Morax long time no see,”

He’s stuck between two devils. As he turned to Tartaglia, he failed to notice the slime trying to attacked him.

He screamed as it fell on top of him engulfing him onto its body. He looked outside as he floated in slime, and his eyes must scream fear because Tartaglia attacked the slime.

As he fell from the slime, he closed his eyes shut tightly knowing that gliders won’t work because of the slime.

He’s caught in a pair of strong arms, held tight as the person starts gliding smoothly to the next building.

“Who would have thought Morax would be so lovely up close?,”

“Tartaglia!,”

The man laughs. Zhongli is suddenly hyper aware that he is being carried like some sort of bride by a villain no less.

“Don’t I get a thanks for saving you?,”

“Thank you,” Zhongli says softly. It’s comfortable in the man’s arms. He enjoys the feeling.

“If you really want to thank me can I get your number hottie. Your just my type,”

“What!?,” Zhongli screams.

He still gave his number to the man, and the two sometimes had coffee dates when they weren’t doing their jobs.
