If Nishiki was ever asked that he spent all his swearing-in money on gambling, he'd totally deny it by the way - so what's he supposed to do now but get a job that pays close to that amount? Well... that's the easy part at least, him getting a plus-one also wasn't that hard (Kiryu "ever-the-saint" Kazuma, agreeing with no hesitation).
