Work Text:
Ever since the day Lila had almost gotten Marinette expelled for stealing, and pushing her down the stairs. Nino was suspicious.
He noticed how Marinette was always annoyed with her, claiming that everything she says is a lie.
How Adrien always looked uncomfortable when with her.
Nino realized that the best thing he could do, was to protect his friends and to make sure they won't have to go through this again.
Before anyone else got akumatized because of Lila Rossi.
It was lunchtime at Collège Françoise Dupont, The hall echoed with the sound of the students having lunch. Nino glanced around at everyone eating their lunch in hopes of finding his friend Adrien.
He walked further into the cafeteria looking around at all the different students who were sitting eating food.
It was the day he was about to enact his plan.
He was up all night trying to figure out the perfect way to do this. When he realized that it was Adrien.
The way to stop Lila was Adrien.
Nino stood in the middle of the cafeteria glancing around at all the different faces when something caught his eye. It was Adrien.
“Adrien!!” Nino shouted as he walked towards his best friend’s table. “We need to talk.”
“Is everything okay?” Adrien asked, with his voice filled with concern.
“Yes, we’ve got a plan to stop Lila.” Nino explained. “And I need your help.”
Nino and Adrien slowly walked through the corridors of Collège Françoise Dupont.
Over the past few weeks Nino created a secret base - well a secret place where he could plan out how to take down villains - Inside of the school's boiler room.
He reached for the handle and opened the door revealing the hidden room.
"It's in here…" Nino said, as Adrien gave him a confused look. He didn't understand why he'd choose the school's boiler room for a place to plan how to stop lila.
Adrien glanced around at the dimly lit room, noticing all of his friends standing around a table.
"What are you doing here?" Adrien asked them, confused.
"Nino recruited us to take down Lila…" One of them explained. Nino really had recruited all his friends for this plan.
"What is the plan?" Adrien asked, curiously.
"We need you to cause lila to tell you something which we can prove is a lie…” Alya added, as Adrien's felt worried. The plan was relying on him.
“Ohh.”
Adrien was sat on a Random bench inside the park waiting for Lila to show up. The sun shone through a gap in the clouds, as a breeze blew by. This better work, He thought to himself.
"ADRIEN!!" A voice exclaimed. He slowly turned around to see Lila walking towards him.
"Hi, Lila." Adrien replied. "Did my Dad or Nathalie contact you about his movie idea?"
"YES!!" She squealed with Joy. "I'm so happy your father decided to cast me in it!!!"
"Yes… it's great!!" Adrien whispered. "I've got to go."
He reached for his phone and phoned Nino.
“It worked, she lied about being in my fathers film, which isn’t actually a thing…” He explained.
"Great!" Nino exclaimed. "Do you think you could get your dad's help?"
"WHAT!?" Adrien shouted through the phone. He didn't think his father would ever help with this plan. "Why him!!"
"He's the only one that can prove that he's not making a film?"
"What about Nathalie?"
"What do you mean?"
"Couldn't she help? It would be easier to convince her than my father."
"I guess."
The sun shone through the windows of the Agreste Mansion as Nathalie walked through it with the sound of footsteps echoing throughout.
She tried to figure out an akuma which could help Hawk Moth in stealing Ladybug and Chat Noir's miraculous.
As she opened the door Gabriel glanced over to her.
"Any ideas?" Gabriel asked. She knew that he was out of ideas, and was trying not to Akumatize Mr Pigeon.
"Father, Nathalie!!" Adrien exclaimed, bursting through the doors. "I need your help."
"Adrien!!"
"We need you to deny that you are making a film and casted Lila as the lead…"
"What??"
"We are trying to prove that Lila can't be trusted…"
"Fine."
Nino was sitting in a hidden corner of the boiler room. Today was the day.
The Gabriel Agreste was about to prove that Lila had been lying about everything and anything.
Hopefully Gabriel doesn't decide to agree with her.
"This better work…" Alya muttered as she sat down next to Nino. She read through the notes making sure she was fully caught up with the next phase in Nino's plan. She thought about how this could lower the amount of akumatizations in Paris. Ever since Lila tried to get Marinette expelled Alya expected that she actually worked for Hawk moth. Which made her worry: What if we fail?
"Yes…" Nino replied. He didn't know what else could be done if this plan failed. That thought scared him.
They stood up and began to walk through the brightly lit hallway of Collège Françoise Dupont. They felt a breeze from one of the windows as they got close to the classroom…
Marinette watched as they walked into the classroom. Part of her felt annoyed that after ages of her friends complaining at her after she claimed that Lila was lying. They are now trying to prove it.
The group decided to sit on the opposite side of the room from Lila.
"Yesterday…" Nino began, as he walked closer to the white board. "Adrien told me that you were cast in a film made by Gabriel Agreste , The famous fashion Mogel. Am I right?"
"Yes, i am eternally happy that I have been cast in a film by The Gabriel Agreste. He's always been a role model for me." Lila Gleefully answered as the group shot a glareful look at her.
"Well what if I was to tell you that we have Gabriel Agreste here- well onscreen to talk about the film?" Nino suggested as he noticed a look of fear on Lila's face.
"Is he, that's good," Lila said, trying to compose herself.
Nino walked closer to the teachers desk and picked up the remote control for the projector. He slowly pressed the projector button as the window of the video call appeared.
"Hello Mr Agreste. " Nino said to Gabreil.
"Hello, Adrien's friend." Gabriel replied, glaring at them.
"I heard that you are making a film." Nino asked, receiving a confused look from Gabriel. This was working.
"I'm sorry, but I am not making a film…" Gabriel explained. As a look of fear shot across Lila's face. "I'm way too busy with outfits for Fashion Galas to make a film."
They all turned around to Lila.
"Didn't you say you were in this film?" Nino asked her. Knowing that her schemes were going to be over.
"What, no I did not!" Lila exclaimed, forcing everyone to roll their eyes.
"But Adrien told me that you said 'I'm so happy your father decided to cast me in it!!!'" Nino said.
"Well he must have lied. " Lila claimed.
"If you dare claim that my son lies, I will terminate your contract with my brand." Gabriel protested.
"But he did!"
"Goodbye Lila Rossi." Gabreil muttered as he left the call."
"If this is a lie…" Nino began, walking closer to Lila's desk. "How many other times have you lied. "
"Never!" Lila exclaimed, getting annoyed with them." I don't lie!!!"
"But it has already been proven that you've lied…"
It was the following morning. Everyone felt happy that they managed to succeed in proving that Lila has been lying all this time.
Adrien was sat in his room staring out of his window. He felt thrilled that he'd no longer have to work with Lila again.
He heard the sound of his bedroom door open, causing him to look over to it. Nathalie walked into his room.
"I want to quit modelling." Adrien blurted out, as Nathalie sat down next to him.
"Any reason?" Nathalie asked him.
"I'm just tired of it, and how everyone is with it."
"Okay, I'll tell your father."
"And I want to be able to hang out with my friends." Adrien added.
Nino was walking through the park as the sun shone in between the trees. He was meeting Alya and Marinette at their picnic spot for their celebratory picnic.
"Nino!!" A voice shouted, giving him a fright. He turned around to see Adrien running up to him.
"Adrien??" Nino asked, shocked. "I thought you couldn't come…"
"I managed to change my Dad's mind!" Adrien exclaimed, as they continued to walk through the park towards the spot.
As they walked towards the others, and sat down.
"Apparently Lila has moved away…" Alya said, while eating a sandwich.
"Really?" Marinette asked, "How did you find that out?"
"She was sighted in the airport!" Alya exclaimed, feeling happy.
They all felt relieved that they'd never have to deal with Lila's lies again.
