Work Text:

"The idea of morality itself is a foolish concept, is a robbery happening on the other side of the planet real to you? Of course not. Humans are such predictable creatures they can't even think about anything but themselves. I aimed to change that by making I-No a God so maybe that one day, humanity could finally have control of their own destiny. Not just groveling in the dirt like small insects searching for food."

" Funny hearing this coming from our supposed Savior."

"Oh I intended on saving humanity, just with some needed bloodshed is all."

Two men were in a room together. The room was a white void with nothing but two chairs facing each other.

The first man? Unimportant.

The second Man? Well…let's just say he's familiar with the concept of insanity.

"I don't believe you're as insane as you say you are, Happy Chaos. I think you're just using what ye've experienced in the Backyard as an excuse to do whatever you want personally. You aren't human…at least not anymore."

Happy Chaos grinned, that trademark insane grin was plastered onto his face like a sticker stuck to a glass window. His hair was wild and unkempt as he stroked his small horns.

"Am I? Or am I simply challenging humanity to come up with a way to better themselves at any cost? Is that the same as doing whatever I want when I want it?"

The man crossed his arms, clearly getting uncomfortable.

"I don't think blowing up an apartment building with people still inside of it, so you could take control of a vampire and force him to do your bidding like a slave is making humanity better themselves."

Happy Chaos stood up from his chair, looking at the man across from him.

"And what if I did? Are you going to chastise me with your skewed sense of justice and Morality?"

Happy Chaos traced his finger along his own chin, before getting up and walking around the void.

"Let's give an example of how I think. Let's say currently there's a robbery going on right in front of you, you could in theory stop the robbers thanks to the gun you keep in your pocket for self defense. Would it be justified to just waltz in and start trying to murder the robbers?"

"I don't think what you're describing Mate has anything to do with what I'm talking-"

"I think it'd be entertaining to see where the robbers go with it. Are they really going to kill someone if provoked? Could they really be that careless about other people? It's a fascinating argument isn't it."

"And your point is?"

Happy Chaos grinned to himself as he snapped his fingers, revealing the destroyed apartment building the two of them met previously in.

Axl sat up momentarily stunned, but remembered who he was in the presence of.

It was like looking into a Mirror, but the British man saw himself there. Unmoving, and Unblinking.

"Let's take yourself for example. Why did you decide to save everyone in this place? You didn't know anyone here, yet you choose to actively put yourself into harm's way. Why is that?"

The British man scoffed.

"A better question would be why the fuck you tried to kill them. How's it improving humanity if you decide to kill people all willy nilly?"

Happy Chaos turned around, slightly intrigued yet annoyed.

"Oh so the gang leader wants to criticize me now on morality? I did what was necessary to accomplish my goals."

"But you Axl low…" Happy Chaos turned around with a devilish smile on his face, the sheer energy radiating off his body.

"You've shown to be an exemplary type of human being. You have the power to stop time. Become a God at any point really...yet you choose not to. Why is that?"

Axl stood firmly, his gaze unwavering as he stared into Happy Chaos's eyes. Like he was staring death in the face.

"Because it wouldn't be the right thing to do. I'm a changed person, I'm not the brute I was in the past."

Happy Chaos turned around laughing to himself.

"Change..."

"Axl Low, you amuse me greatly."

The both of them stood there as the scene changed back to the white void. But the both of them were a lot more interested in each other if anything.

"What was I like in the past, Axl Low?"

Axl turned his head up, looking at Happy Chaos with a curious expression.

"What're you-"

"Before my mind was broken, before my heart was shattered…what was I like? Don't play stupid because I know you've traveled that far back before. What was The Original like?"

"Well, you were-"

Axl was suddenly encompassed in a white light, before disappearing from view.

"Heh. Guess that's what I get for asking too many questions."

Happy Chaos stared forward, his gaze lackadaisical.

"I can't ever go back to how I was previously. It's impossible."

With that, Happy Chaos left the void and went back to Earth. Maybe there was something to do there. Perhaps he'd drive down the old highways again.
