Jimin had a surprise for Taehyung. Even with the fact that Taehyung had no clue what was going on, it was very difficult for Jimin to hide the news from his boyfriend. But he knew it would be worth it. The look on Taehyung’s face would be worth all the secrets.
Jimin and Tae became friends when they were ten. Their mothers were colleagues who became fast friends. Even though they were in the same city, they both attended different schools and had different friend circles. But their time together was always special. They met up every Saturday and caught up on each other’s lives. At thirteen, Jimin was the first person to know when Taehyung developed a crush on Hana. That was also the day Jimin realized he had a crush on Taehyung. A year later, Jimin was again the first to know when Taehyung developed a crush on Min Jae and Jimin wondered why Taehyung didn’t have a crush on Jimin and he voiced it.
“What?”
“I asked why you have a crush on Minjae and not Jimin,” the fourteen-year-old had demanded, pointing a finger at himself.
“I did, for the last couple of months, and then now I moved on to Minjae,” Tae had said.
“Moved on? Excuse me, you tell me about everything under the sky Taehyungie, and you didn’t think you needed to tell me about your crush on me?”
“I didn’t think you liked me like that, you never said anything,”
“That’s because you were crushing on girls till now,” Jimin had said, crossing his arms in front.
“Oh,”
The duo liked to count that as their first fight but also, they made up pretty quickly.
“So, who is it? Minjae or me? Have you moved on completely?”
“Minjae who?” that brought a smile to the smaller boy’s face, so Tae continued, “I will not lie, I tried, but I can never move on from you Chimchim, I will never,”
That was four years ago. And the couple has been inseparable since then.
And now, Jimin had planned the biggest surprise for Taehyung. Taehyung had gotten his eye power corrected through surgery and wasn’t able to attend the opening week of the penultimate year of school. Jimin had transferred to Taehyung’s school and he couldn’t wait to see the reaction on Taehyung’s face. He had gotten both sets of parents to keep it a secret as well. When Jimin’s friends transferred out of his old school, he felt lonely and asked his parents to transfer him to Tae’s school. To his surprise, they agreed almost immediately. It might’ve had something to do with Tae being the more studious boy out of them.
🐣
Day one in the new school saw Jimin being inducted into the soccer team. He had mentioned being part of the team in his previous school and his classmate, Jeon Jungkook, a part of the school’s soccer team asked him to try out, and Jimin did. It didn’t take Captain Kim Seokjin and Coach Bang too long to tell him he was part of the squad now. Jimin was introduced to the rest of the team the next day, he hit it off pretty quickly with Jin, Jungkook, and the goalkeeper Jung Hoseok. Jimin spent the next three days with his new friends, while he pictured how Taehyung would react seeing him there.
Since Taehyung was advised to avoid screens and harsh lights, they avoided texting and video calls. Instead, they would talk on the phone. Jimin spoke about his classes and soccer practice, like normal and there was no reason for Tae to doubt him. Tae had asked about Jimin making new friends since his closest friends had transferred and he had brushed it off saying he was getting there.
“And why do I need so many friends when I have you Taebear?” Jimin had asked.
“But Chim, you need friends in school,”
“Yes yes, I am working on it, you’ll see,”
🐻
Taehyung was back in school on Monday. The first thing he noticed was a bag next to his usual seat. A bag that looked familiar. It had a key ring similar to the one on his bag.
‘That can’t be right,’ he told himself as his hands reached out to the key ring. But before he could check if it was the one, he customized for Jimin, he heard his name being called out.
“Taehyungie, you are back,” he saw Namjoon gesturing for him to join him and Yoongi outside.
“Hyungs,” he said as he hugged his two friends.
“How do you feel ditching your glasses?” Yoongi asked.
“It feels weird without it, I’ve had it for so long,”
“You got a seat partner?” Namjoon asked noticing the bag from outside.
“Yeah, looks like it. I am yet to meet them,” Tae said and they heard a commotion in the hallway. The trio turned to look at what was happening. It was the soccer team, being their usual loud self.
“Here they come,” Yoongi murmured, his distaste for the soccer team evident. But what caught Taehyung’s attention, or rather who caught his attention was the small familiar boy, who wasn’t usually a part of this group. It was Jimin, his Jimin who, as far as he knew, didn’t even go to this school. He could see Jeon Jungkook’s hands around Jimin’s shoulder and they looked to be on good terms.
Jimin hadn’t noticed him and he wondered if it was best to run before he did. The soccer team didn’t particularly like Taehyung and his friends. More like they didn’t like his friends and him by association. But if Jimin was friends with them, he didn’t want to be in his way. Though he had a lot of questions for his boyfriend.
Jimin noticed Taehyung at that moment and his eyes brightened. Taehyung hoped their relationship was strong enough for Jimin to understand what Taehyung was trying to convey. Tae closed his eyes and shook his head lightly, and prayed Jimin saw it. And his prayers were immediately answered when Jimin put the hand he was raising down, confusion clear on his face.
Tae excused himself from his friends and Namjoon and Yoongi left, promising to meet during lunch.
🐣
“What is it?” Jungkook asked when he abruptly raised and put his hand down.
“Nothing, I thought I saw someone I know, I thought wrong,” he said and Jungkook didn’t ask any further questions. But Jimin had no idea why Tae didn’t want him to acknowledge his presence. His mind built up wild theories. He’s known Tae enough to know he wouldn’t do that without a reason. What was Taehyung hiding though?
🐣
It didn’t take them too long to be in each other’s presence. Well, Taehyung was right about the key ring and bag being Jimin’s. Jimin had somehow ended up in the vacant seat next to him and on one hand, he was happy about it, but he didn’t want Jimin’s chances at playing soccer diminished due to him. Jimin looked like he had already become friends with the soccer team anyway.
“Hi,” Jimin said as he sat down next to Taehyung and Tae just nodded in response.
“Oh, I forgot your seat is next to him,” Jungkook said as he stood next to Jimin, distaste evident in his tone.
“What?”
“You’ll see,” he said as he patted Jimin’s back and walked to his seat.
The soccer team doesn’t like me much.
Taehyung wrote in his notebook and tapped the desk to get Jimin’s attention. He could see Jimin’s eyes widen from the corner of his eye.
Why?
No idea. Something to do with my friends Namjoon hyung and Yoongi hyung.
What about us then? Do your friends know about me?
Not really. They know you exist. That I have a boyfriend. They don’t know your name
Mr. Lee chose that moment to show up and the duo couldn’t continue with their chat. Every break Jungkook would find Jimin and Taehyung would immerse himself in one of his books.
During lunch, Jimin watched as Taehyung and his two friends sat at the table farthest from his. The whole moving school to be closer to Taehyung wasn’t going as per the plan.
To Taebear🐻🥰:
Can we meet someplace before lunch ends?
I wanna see you 🥺
He pressed send and waited for Taehyung to respond. The reply arrived quickly.
Taebear🐻🥰:
Washroom near the library. We still have 15 minutes before class 😘
The first thing Jimin did as he saw Taehyung was hug him. He had missed him so much and Jimin had to make up a lie to not meet Tae over the weekend to not ruin the surprise.
“I am so sorry it happened this way. I wanted to surprise you,” Jimin said as they broke the hug.
“And now we are part of two rival groups,”
“What is with that?”
“I don’t know. Something with Namjoon hyung and Jin hyung having a fallout and all of a sudden Namjoon hyung and Yoongi hyung were shunned. I happened to sit with Namjoon hyung since he was my student mentor and somehow, they started not liking me as well.”
“Is it just them or do the other people in school also hate you,”
“I don’t think hate is the right word. I don’t know. But what I know is that we can’t risk you being seen with me,”
“And why is that?” Jimin whined hugging Tae again.
“You are part of the soccer team and soccer is one of your biggest dreams Jiminie, I don’t want them using me against that,”
“We don’t know they’ll do that Taetae,”
“We don’t know otherwise either Chim,” Tae reasoned.
“So, we pretend to be strangers in school? I don’t want to do that. I transferred to be with you,”
“I know baby,” he said as he pressed a soft kiss onto Jimin’s lips, Jimin pouted.
“We can meet up in secret like this. No one comes to this washroom during lunch,” Tae pointed out, but, Jimin wasn’t convinced.
“We can hold hands under the desk. You really chose the right spot to sit.”
“Well, I remembered you saying something about it and hoped I was right, and thankfully no one claimed the seat to be theirs,”
“It’s a good thing you are an attentive boyfriend,”
“That I am,” Jimin said as he pressed a kiss onto Tae’s lips this time.
“We should go,” Tae said as he squeezed Jimin’s hand in assurance.
“Five more minutes Taetae,” Tae recognized the tone from when Jimin wouldn’t want to end their nightly calls.
“As much as I’d like to stay, being tardy can cost you your place in the soccer team. They are strict here like that and I will not let that happen. Not on my watch.”
“Okay, you go first then,”
“Nope, I am Ms. Shin’s favorite, I can afford to be a bit late. You should go first,” Jimin hated Tae’s reasoning ability. He was right like 100% of the time. But he also loved Tae for putting sense into him all the time.
“Okay,” Jimin said as he reluctantly let go of Taehyung. Taehyung saw Jimin leave the washroom and he headed to the sink to splash some water on his face. That was the moment Jimin chose to come back.
“I love you,” Jimin said as he pressed a kiss onto Tae’s cheeks. And he disappeared as soon as he appeared while Taehyung stood with a dopey smile on his face.
🐣
The days were quite nice with Tae and Jimin sitting side by side in class, pretending to be strangers. Nights were better when they talked for hours. After school, both of them would go to one of their places. It was mostly Taehyung’s since Jimin had soccer practice three days a week and Jimin would go to Taehyung’s directly from there. On rare occasions, they did stay back with their friend groups.
🐻
“Stupid jocks, why are they here,” Taehyung heard Yoongi murmur as they settled down in the ice cream shop. They’d chosen to sit close to the end of the room and the soccer players were headed that way, to the empty booth beside theirs. Namjoon just shook his head as he took out the book he was reading.
“Let’s just ignore them, what do you guys want?” Tae asked, he didn’t want to spoil the rare chances he got with his friends. They were a year above him and they didn’t get much time together usually.
“Mint choco,” Yoongi said and Taehyung heard someone from the other side just say disgusting.
Taehyung could see Yoongi was trying his best to not start an argument.
“Hyung,” Jimin and Jungkook chided, Tae could see. It was Seokjin who passed that comment.
“What, just eat toothpaste instead,” Seokjin continued and Jungkook shook his head.
“It’s not that bad hyung, please don’t get started on this again,” Hoseok said and Jimin and Taehyung just looked at each other. Tae just wanted to grab Jimin’s hand and leave from there. But he couldn’t. One, he didn’t want to put Jimin at risk with his friends. Two, he didn’t want to be a bad person who abandoned his friends while in a pickle.
“You know Tae-yah, people should just mind their own business,” Yoongi said at the same time as Jin said, “I don’t understand why you are in an ice cream shop if you want toothpaste, just go to the convenience store,”
Tae saw Jungkook push Jin to the other end of the shop where another booth had emptied. Hoseok and Jimin followed. If Tae was right, the goalkeeper offered a polite smile, as an apology it looked like his gaze was fixed on Yoongi.
Taehyung and Jimin met at the counter. Taehyung had placed his order and Jimin repeated his order to the employee.
“I’ll pay for both,” he told her as he handed over his card and Tae turned to look at him.
“Tell your friends it’s a treat from your boyfriend. They just wouldn’t know it is me yet. I am treating them for the welcome party they threw me last time,” he said pointing to his friends as well.
🐣
“What were you guys discussing?” Jungkook asked pointing to Tae when Jimin joined them in their booth.
“Nothing, just saying I didn’t want any trouble,”
🐣
“Jiminah, it’ll be suspicious if I showed up to the soccer field to watch the match, and that too in the front row, in your jersey,” Tae told him as he insisted his boyfriend show up in his jersey. It was a silly ask and Jimin knew that.
“But Taetae, even Eomma and Appa can’t make it this time. I want you to be there. It’s my first game here, and I am starting,”
“And I will be there Chim, trust me. Just not in the front-row seats. I will make sure you can see me, okay?”
They were again in the washroom near the library after class. Jimin had received a text that his parents had to suddenly travel to their hometown urgently for something. His match was supposed to start in an hour.
Jimin just hugged Taehyung. He wanted comfort and hugging his boyfriend always calmed him down. There was something in the way Tae held him that made him feel at peace.
“Okay, I will look for you,”
“Just do well okay, Score a goal for me?”
“You know I will,”
“I love you Chimchim,” Taehyung said as he captured Jimin’s lips in his. Their lips slot in place like puzzle pieces made to fit each other, their tongues fighting for dominance. Once they parted for air, the duo blushed.
“That was your good luck kiss, now go, your team must be looking for you. And I promise, you’ll find me easily.”
He reluctantly let go and exited the washroom. As Jimin turned the corner from the library, he met Jungkook.
“I was coming to look for you, the team is waiting for you,”
“Sorry, got caught up with something, let’s go,” Jimin said and the taller boy nodded.
Once he had booted up and done his laps around the ground, he saw the seats getting filled one by one. There was no sign of Taehyung and he tried his best to stay positive. Tae had never broken a promise in all the years they’d known each other and he really trusted his boyfriend. He could see people, girls and boys alike, sporting his numbers in paint on their faces. He was surprised he had that much support in the first place, given it was his first game. Jin and Jungkook were more popular than him, which made sense since they’d been on the team longer. Jimin thought he saw Taehyung’s friend Namjoon on the sidelines. But he was alone and, in a hoodie, so Jimin wasn’t too sure.
The bell rang indicating it was time and since it was the first game of the season, the Dean stood up for a speech and everyone’s attention turned to where he stood. And there Taehyung was, for some reason standing next to the Dean. Jimin’s heart lightened and his face brightened the moment their eyes met. And Taehyung even dared to wink. Not that any attention was on him, but it was enough to make the blood rush to his face.
When the game started, Jimin was on cloud nine. He scored within the first five minutes from a direct cross he received from Jungkook. His eyes were on Taehyung who looked proud from where he stood. The game was a cakewalk for his team as they won 6-1, with him scoring two goals. Jungkook, the golden child of the team scored three while Jin scored the other.
🐣
To Taebear🐻🥰:
The team wants me to go celebrate with them, I’ll ditch them and join you in sometime.
You still here?
Taebear🐻🥰:
You should celebrate with them. It’s your first win.
I’ll see you at home. Eomma told me you are staying with us for the weekend 😘😘
Jimin wanted to go home with Tae after the game, but he couldn’t say no to his teammates. Jin even promised to drop him back home. And honestly, the gathering was fun. Eunwoo, the defender, was describing how he slid in and took possession off the opposition's center forward while the others cheered him on. Coach Bang was also there and paid for the food they ordered. Apparently, it was a tradition, the coach took them out for food after their first win of the season. And Jimin was glad Taehyung insisted he didn’t ditch them.
The four boys piled into Jin’s car after the gathering.
“Where do you stay Jiminah,” Hoseok asked from the front and Jimin gulped. There was no way they knew where Tae lived right? Was it safe to give Tae’s address? Or he wondered if he should give his address, go home, change, and get to Tae’s. Well, he was tired of hiding. When they first decided to keep their relationship a secret, it was fun since they’d always been open about their relationship and both sets of parents were really accepting of it. This was a new experience for them and they only planned to do it for a year. But after a point, Jimin missed being able to hold and kiss his boyfriend whenever he wanted.
So, he decided to take the risk. If they figured it out, they did. He had made a name for himself in the team, if they were such petty people, they had no business being friends with him, he figured.
When he mentioned the address, no one batted an eye. So, he was concerned for no reason. They didn’t seem to know where Tae lived. They dropped him off at the entrance and said their byes.
🐣
“What?” Tae asked as he saw Jimin’s eyes fixed on him when he came out after a bath.
“You look really hot,”
“Get your mind off the gutter,”
“What, I am just stating facts,” Jimin said as he rolled over to make space for Tae on the bed.
Taehyung’s phone lit up with a notification and Jimin grabbed it for him.
Taehyung’s parents were running late and so had asked the boys to get dinner for themselves.
“Do you want to go out? The new mall which recently opened up?” Tae asked as he sat down on the bed and Jimin buried his head in his boyfriend’s lap.
“I am too tired Taetae, just want to lie down,” Tae understood. He instead opened the food delivery app and placed an order for Jimin’s favorite spicy tteokbokki. He also ordered a few more dishes with the spice levels he could handle.
“You know I love you right?” Jimin asked as he leaned on Taehyung while they ate, watching re-runs of their favorite anime.
“And I love you Chimchim,”
“That is evident, I could kiss you right now, but I am sure you’ll not appreciate it,” he said laughing as he ate another piece of the extra spicy tteokbokki.
🐣
The next day Taehyung’s parents made breakfast for the boys and congratulated Jimin on his game.
“You guys should come next time,” Jimin said and Taehyung rolled his eyes.
“What Taehyungah, he’s also our son,” his mom said.
“Not weird at all, do explain to your friends also,” Tae said and Jimin laughed.
They decided to go to the mall for a date as Jimin had recovered from his sore muscles. What they didn’t expect was to run into Yoongi there.
“Taehyungah, what are you doing here with,” Yoongi paused to look at Jimin for a while and said, “him?”
“Hyung, what brings you here?”
Yoongi just stared in response and Taehyung was forced to answer the older boy’s question.
“Well, we have a project we have to do together, we are here for supplies,”
Yoongi just stared at them while Jimin was amazed at the speed at which Tae came up with that lie.
“Seriously, but him?”
“Well, we were assigned partners as we were sitting next to each other,” Tae said and Jimin realized Tae was indeed saying the truth. Their history professor had assigned them as project partners. And he wondered if buying the supplies was on Tae’s mind when they planned the mall date.
“Jimin?” Jimin heard his name being called and turned to face Jungkook and Eunwoo.
“What are you doing with them?” Jungkook asked and he understood how Tae was able to answer so fast. It was like the brain worked faster when you are being questioned.
And he gave the same answer Tae gave and added that they just met Yoongi. Jungkook understood since he was paired with Eunwoo for the same project.
“Do you want to have lunch with us,” Eunwoo asked and Jimin wanted to say no. But how could he justify wanting to be with Tae?
“Excuse me? I adjusted my schedule to fit yours. You are the one who always has soccer practice and has no time for this project. I would like to get this over with today, as much as possible that is,” Tae said and Eunwoo took a step back, literally.
“You don’t have to be that offensive, we are getting this done today,” Jimin said in his best-annoyed tone, to Taehyung and turned to apologize to his teammates.
Taehyung said bye to Yoongi as well. Thankfully by the time they were done with getting the supplies for their project, there was no sign of the three of them. So, they decided to grab a bite at the food court and continue their date.
🐻
The next couple of weeks passed uneventfully. The soccer team played a couple more games and Taehyung couldn’t attend the away games. There was no way to justify his presence when they belonged to two groups who always locked horns. And Jimin just wanted to tell the others and Taehyung said he was considering it since he also didn’t want to miss more of Jimin’s games. He wanted to show his support for Jimin in front of everyone too. He finally agreed it was a dumb idea to hide their relationship.
🐣
The soccer team was practicing for the game that evening. Jimin had missed the morning classes and hadn’t seen Taehyung since the morning and all he wanted was to hold his boyfriend’s hand. He checked the phone and he had a few messages from Tae.
To Taebear🐻🥰:
I’ll see you at our spot during lunch in half an hour
Miss you Taetae 😘😘
And the reply came immediately.
Taebear🐻🥰:
I miss you so much, can’t even focus in class.
And Jimin smiled at the response. Taehyung was the definition of a nerd and he missed him in class. That was a big win for him and he could stop the smile from forming.
“Stay aware Park,” is all he heard before something hit his head.
🐹
“Is he going to be okay? Looks like he’s lost a lot of blood,” Jin asked the doctor while the nurse bandaged Jimin’s head. They were in the school’s infirmary.
“Yeah, he will be fine. We can let him rest for now. I have called his parents. They should be here in about twenty minutes,” the doctor informed Jin. Jungkook and Hobi were with him, all concerned for Jimin’s well-being.
As expected, Jimin’s parents arrived. The doctor asked them to wait for an hour and if Jimin hasn’t regained consciousness by then, to shift him to a proper hospital.
“Where is Taehyungie?” Jimin’s mom asked the three boys that stood beside Jimin.
“Who?” Jin asked
“Kim Taehyung, his boyfriend,”
“I knew it,” Jungkook exclaimed while Jin and Hobi stood, confused. Jungkook started rambling about how he had doubts about the two of them. When she realized, she wasn’t getting help from the three of them, she took her phone and called Taehyung herself.
🐻
Taehyung was back in the cafeteria. He had waited for Jimin and he hadn’t shown. His phone was unreachable all of a sudden and Taehyung didn’t feel like going to class.
“Taehyungie, why aren’t you in class?” Namjoon asked as he spotted the younger boy.
“I didn’t feel like it,”
“Look at you, finally following in our path,” Yoongi said with a smile and Namjoon snorted.
“Talk for yourself, I don’t unnecessarily skip classes, today is an exception,”
Taehyung’s phone rang and he was confused to see the name flash on the screen. He wasn’t prepared for the news Jimin’s mom told him.
“How’s he now? Where is he?”
“He’s not gained consciousness yet Taehyungie, he’s in the infirmary here. I was wondering why you aren’t here, of course, you didn’t know. Otherwise, you’d be at his side at all costs, I know that,”
“I have to go,” Taehyung said as he ended the call.
“What happened Tae?”
“Jimin…” is all he said before he rushed to the infirmary with the other two boys trailing behind.
🐹
“Where is he?” Jin saw the boy who always was with Namjoon and Yoongi crash into the infirmary.
“In here Tae-yah,” Jimin’s father said and Taehyung moved to grab Jimin’s hand as he stood between the adults.
Namjoon and Yoongi also showed up after him, they seemed to be as confused by whatever was happening as him, and Hobi. Jungkook seemed to have connected some dots.
Jin observed the people in front of him. He looked between Jimin and Taehyung and Jimin’s hand in Taehyung’s. Since when were they that close? Looked like Jimin’s parents also knew about Taehyung. What was going on?
That was the moment Jimin decided to open his eyes.
“Taehyungie?” he called and Taehyung looked like he squeezed Jimin’s hand in assurance.
“Would you look at that, who cares if your parents are here, right Jiminah?” Jimin’s mother chided, but she had a fond look on her face that said she was just glad her son was safe.
“Here baby,” Taehyung said and Jin looked around the room to see their responses. Min Yoongi looked disgusted, while the others seemed to be okay with the new development.
“Eww,” he said and Jimin fixed him a glare. Or maybe he deserved it.
“Well, he looks disgusted too,” Jin said as he pointed to Yoongi in defense who pretended to gag.
“Well, let’s not pretend you don’t have the hots for the goalkeeper here, huh?” Taehyung said and Hobi’s eyes widened.
“What, no, who, Namjoonah,” Yoongi turned to his best friend for help.
“What? Really? You like him, after you said you hate them, they are our rivals” Namjoon seemed to be confused. Yoongi fisted his hands and closed his eyes in response. Jimin’s parents decided it was best if they stepped out of the high school drama and so they did.
“And let’s not forget the whole rivalry shit started because Namjoon hyung turned Seokjin hyung down,” that caught Seokjin’s attention. Why was Jungkook airing his dirty laundry in front of everyone?
“Jungkookah,” he started while Namjoon said, “No, I didn’t,”
Well, Jin wasn’t expecting Namjoon to deny it. Now he had to say something.
“Yes, you did,”
“No, I didn’t. I’d have known if you confessed and I turned you down,”
“I confessed through a letter since you seemed to be so into reading. I put it in your favorite book and handed it to you in the library,”
Jin knew confessing with a letter in the age of texts and snaps was a dumb idea. But he’d been talking to Namjoon for a while and he seemed like someone who’d appreciate the old-school idea. And that was why he did that. But Namjoon had just pretended like that didn’t happen. That made him turn bitter and he started this stupid rivalry between them, always instigating verbal spats. It’s been almost three years since the incident.
“I never got a letter hyung,” he seemed like he was thinking hard to remember which book it was. And when Jin supplied the name, it seemed like he remembered.
“I only read the English translation of that book from the library. I have the Korean version at home. So, I must’ve put it back without checking it when you gave me the Korean version. I liked you hyung, I’d have said yes if I had known.
“Oh,”
“So, I hated them for no reason and consoled Namjoon all this while, while my best friend was the dumb one all along?” Yoongi asked and Namjoon glared at him.
Jimin and Taehyung seemed to be enjoying the show from where they sat.
“So, is this rivalry shit done? I would like to ask Eunwoo out,” Jungkook said and Hobi hit him on the back.
“What? Seokjin hyung and Namjoon hyung like each other. Hobi hyung I know you like this grumpy cat boy and now Taehyung has told us he likes you too. And Taehyung and Jimin seem to be dating from whenever,”
“We’ve been dating for the past four years, even before I transferred here,” Jimin supplied.
“What does our dating have to do with you? Eunwoo isn’t even part of this group,” Jin commented.
“Well, I didn’t want to be the only one dating while you three were single you know,”
🐣
Taehyung and Jimin sat next to each other in the front row watching the soccer team play. Coach Bang hadn’t even allowed him to be on the bench. He was asked to take a week’s break. His parents had fixed an appointment for him with the family doctor, just in case to get a proper examination done.
Jimin intertwined his fingers with Taehyungs and pulled them up to plant a kiss on his hand. Jungkook scored at the moment and the ground erupted in joy. Jungkook pointed at them as if he was dedicating the goal to Jimin.
“Show off,” Jimin said and Taehyung laughed.
“I’m glad we don’t have to hide anymore,”
“I am too Taetae,”
🐻
“I can’t believe you guys managed to keep it a secret for so long, though I had my suspicions,” Jungkook said once the seven of them had gathered together for dinner, for the first time ever.
“I can't believe it either, but tell me what made you doubt us,”
“I’ve seen you two near the washroom next to the library, a lot. But never together though,”
“That was our meeting spot, away from you guys,” Jimin admitted.
“Then there was the ice cream shop, and also you seemed to pay attention to classes, sitting next to him,”
“He’s the topper, I can’t fall behind, our parents know each other,” Jimin said and he smiled.
“Makes sense, makes sense,”
“And that time at the mall,” Yoongi supplied.
“We were on a date, though we did actually have a project to do,”
“I wonder too how we managed to keep it a secret for so long, we were so loud about it,”
“And we will always be loud about our love,” Jimin said as he pressed a soft kiss onto Tae’s lips. The duo smiled as they looked at the friends they had managed to bring together. Their love had in fact managed to help overcome misunderstandings. And they believed in their love and the power it held. And Taehyung knew he could overcome anything as long as he had Jimin by his side, Jimin was all he needed.
