Summary
It was the warmest hug he’d ever felt. Inviting, comforting, and god was it warm, like molten honey. He no longer felt the ice against his arms and neck and torso, felt no more worries, no doubts.
Floating. He was Floating. On a cloud, perhaps? On the moon?
The familiar, sweet sounding voice called out to him once more, almost like a lullaby, soothing his cries and distress. Hongjoong let the water around him take him deeper, deeper and deeper into the stomach of the beast. He didn’t fight back anymore as he finally felt at peace, like a mother comforting her crying infant. Taking his final breath, he let his eyes flutter closed, accepting the fate that would soon take him.
And if he looked closely, he might have noticed the pair of arms reaching out to him, arms of the ocean.
