Chapter 1: Summer Depression

After the long battle in Sokovia, the team heads back to the avengers camp. It was a bright sunny day, the rays of the sun shining on the compound. As they arrived, it was a bit of a normal return. Except for one. Wanda. She was still shy, not talking to anyone. She didn't really want to talk to anyone. Her brain was only focused on the death of her brother, unable to process the fact she lost the one person in her life that she loved the most.

After the avengers arrived and Clint showed the young witch her room, she left immediately and isolated herself in the fresh sheets, crying. Morning, noon and night. She wouldn't go out and she wouldn't accept the food they gave her. The only sound you could hear are the sounds of the door opening and closing and the faint sound of cries for a dear brother.

Despite attempts, Wanda starved herself and stayed in her bed with the occasional bathroom breaks. She believed it was her fault that her brother died. She still does.

One day, there was a small knock-on Wanda's door. "Hey, wanna talk?" the muffled voice said from the other side of the door. Silence was only heard. "I'm going in" The voice said before slowly opening the door as their eyes caught sight of Wanda sobbing and facing her wall. "Go away Steve." Wanda said, her voice clearly still crying. "I'm not the old man Wands." the voice said back. It didn't sound like Steve. The brunette turned around and saw Natasha, leaning on the door

"M-Mrs. Romanoff- I- w-what are you doing here?" The young witch stuttered as she looks at Natasha, her eyes sore and tired. Natasha didn't say a word but sat next to Wanda on the bed. "Call me Natasha, Wanda. I... Are you alright?" she says as Wanda sits up and looks at the former widow. She really didn't want to open up. Did she? "You don't need to tell me of course.". Her hand wraps around Wanda's body as she lets a soft sigh out. The touch. it was so comforting like there was a spell on it.

"I... It's about my brother. I- I just can't get over him." Wanda finally said, breaking the silence. She leaned into Natasha's body, another tear falling from her sore tired eyes. "I-it was my fault. I-i should haven't let him get away from me." her words choking in her throat as the tears continued to roll down.

"No. It's not your fault. Don't blame yourself. Alright?" The redhead responded back, letting Wanda cry onto her shoulder. "Shh... It's okay. Let's watch a show first okay?" She said as she grabs the remote with her hand, the other one still wrapped around Wanda's body.

Wanda sniffled and nodded, grateful for Natasha's comfort. As they settled onto the couch, the redhead scrolled through the streaming options until she found a lighthearted comedy sitcom. They both laughed at the silly jokes and physical humor, feeling their spirits lift slightly.

Wanda slowly fell asleep in the arms of her new friend, her body resting in the warmth of Natasha. The redhead saw the calm and relaxed body of the witch laying on her. She grabbed a blanket and pillow and placed it on Wanda as she got off the bed and let her rest.

Clint was casually walking down the hallway when he encountered Natasha sneaking out of Wanda's room.

"Nat. What are you doing in the kid's room?" Clint asked suspiciously as he watched as Natasha akwardly stood there. "I was just visiting her." She said, her voice going from akward to her normal serious voice. She crossed her arms, leaning on the wall outside of the door. "Wanda doesn't let anyone in usually. How did you do it?". Clint didn't really believe Natasha with whatever she did. No one was able to enter Wanda's room. "Girl things. I'm gonna go train now." The redhead said as she walked to the gym room while clint did not let her escape so easily

"jeez nat just tell me what your doing, im just a guy with a bow and I don't know much" clint said as he paced to follow Natasha.
