Work Text:
Their love, unlike many weren't written in the stars.
How could a love so secret be displayed in plain sight?
No, their love was hidden behind closed doors and seals of letters.
The only proof it ever existed being their kind smiles and lovestruck eyes.
Pavitr scribbled the words together like webs; trying to unbottle the love sealed in the palms of his heart.
He kept himself up— with sugared caffeine and sweet pastries; to write and write and write━
For the spider-punk, Hobie Brown.
What a riot, he is; the way his roaring music rumbles fear into heartless tyrants, or the way he smiles— how the anarchist webs Pavitr in love.
Crumbled-love letters in forms of lyrics looms over Pavitr's silhouette; his uneven raven threads fell across his forehead, a sign of his drowsy struggle to form rhymes.
"Right... Now I know how Gwen feels." Pavitr murmured frustratingly, tapping his pen against the ivory edges of his notebook.
In the corner of his carnelian eyes, Pavitr caught a blinding glimpse of kaleidoscopic, woven-webs forming across his bedroom.
"Did a paper monster swarm your room or somethin?" a gravelly, teasing voice echoed; plump lips graced by a chivalrous smile, catching Pavitr's heart in his throat.
"Hobie!" Pavitr screeched, his words seeped by dismay while a pile of letters scattered gracelessly across the bedroom; his carnelian eyes now bore within Hobie's.
The anarchist flashes a crooked smile, his deep-brown eyes illuminating a gleam of fondness. "Yeah, yeah. Sorry about bargin' in, mate. Thought you could use some help writin' those lyrics... Seems like you do." Hobie chortles, falling backwards onto the soft mattress of Pavitr's bed; letting his long legs dangle on the edge.
Kiss your blood off my knuckles and I’ll kiss mine from your lips.
I feel and taste the love pour from your fingertips. Your love, an ember of a not-so-gentle riot.
Love me like there is fire in your veins.
Love me in unbridled staccato laughs.
Love me like I love you.
A gentle, garnet hue graces the cheeks of Hobie's sepia skin; a smirk grazing at his lips.
"I love it." Hobie said quietly.
Pavitr felt his heart blooming, like a quaint garden of red tulips━ The scarlet petals limning Pavitr's burning heart, like the tale of a lovestruck fool in a Turkish folklore.
"You do?" Pavitr uttered, anxiously flickering his gaze to Hobie's.
"Why wouldn't I? You're a fuckin' poet with your words," Hobie grazes his hand on Pavitr's shoulder. "I'm not much of a poet, y'know," the anarchist murmured, quickly gesturing at the lyrics. "But this? Fuckin' brilliant. You're an inspiration, everything you have to say━ is beautiful. Which is why I gotta read another, ay?"
Flushed, Pavitr almost disintegrated at the anarchist's compliments. "Really? You'll read another one?" a faint, yet visible hue of red roses dusts across his face.
Hobie's gaze softened, turning a gleam of awe into admiration; followed by the trace of his smile. "I could repeat myself if you wanted to, Pav." the anarchist said fondly, gently nudging his shoulder at Pavitr.
Hobie webs a crumbled note from the sporadic pile, unfolding the ivory-paper from its seams.
I need him, like a riot I yearn for his kiss.
I see him in my dreams, I hold him and feel the warmth of his smile.
I feel the spark of souls weave like a spider's webs.
Never have I exchanged longing glances with someone from across the room, heart longing to jump up and run over to him, to kiss him.
To speak softly, and say. "I love you."
"Bruv, 'course you write sappy things. Not that it's terrible, kinda find it endearing, actually." a playful smirk curls Hobie's lips; his brown eyes still softening. "Y'know, if it's not brash to ask. Is there a muse in your life, anyone who motivates you to writin' all these━ Sappy lyrics?" his tone is wistful, but almost hopeful.
Pavitr's brows furrowed, the blush on his cheeks deepening━ a bashful smile gracing his tawny lips. His eyes almost gleaming in confidence.
"You," Pavitr breathed softly, inching his hand to intertwine with Hobie's. "My love for my friends... and you, inspires me to write. To dance and laugh. To feel alive, even when being Spider-Man beats you down— you were there to help. I fell in love with you slowly, but surely." Pavitr confessed, his lips twitching upwards while his heart swells evidently.
Slowly, Pavitr cradles Hobie's sepia-cheeks; the warm, amber hue of his eyes mirroring Pavitr's gaze.
Hobie melts slightly at the touch— His voice was a murmur, a gentle caress in the form of a soothing melody. "Pav," His melodious, sultry timbre reverberates within Pavitr's chest. "If I were to kiss you now━ I don't think you'd mind. Wait, no━ Of course if you're only okay with it, but I ain't gonna do anything without your consent, ya' know?"
Pavitr chuckles, his voice wavering in a slight whisper; moving as their lips barely touched— Pavitr tilts his head into a kiss.
Hobie cradled Pavitr's, noticing how their lips intertwined like a silken string lifting their hearts into the spider's throats.
"I love you," Hobie quietly confessed, kissing Pavitr tenderly once again. "Sometimes I wondered if love was worth fighting for. Then I look at you, and I know I'm ready for anything." The anarchist said sweetly, dragging his lips for a kiss on Pavitr's forehead.
It was Pavitr's turn to melt into Hobie's embrace, hearing his heart swelling.
Hobie smiled, cherishing the riot of their love as moments unravel in the webs of the multiverse.
