Summary
Anita Blake is in crisis. A close call during a murder investigation shakes her to her core and brings her face to face with her choices. She doesn't like what she sees. She's ready to give up on crime-busting for good. Unfortunately, it's not done with her.
A rash of mysterious therian disappearances and deaths raises eyebrows at the Regional Preternatural Investigation Taskforce and pits animal groups against each other in a desperate struggle for survival.
