Pillow Talk

Summary:

Kitty steals some more skincare and Min-ho has some requirements for their wedding.

Notes:

Is it okay that I spelt Min-ho's name like that, with the hyphen? Hopefully, it is! Anyway, this is my favourite pairing on the show and I hope I did them justice! This is just a silly piece I needed to get out of my head, nothing too intricate or anything! I have a few more fics about them and one with Yuri and Julianna planned so keep an eye out for those. As always this is for practice so feedback is appreciated (but please be nice or I'll cry!). Enjoy!

Work Text:

Min-ho was already sprawled on the bed by the time Kitty made it out of the bathroom.

"Did you use my cleanser again?" He asks, not even looking at her.

She freezes, her face contorting into a guilty smile. "Perhaps..."

He sighs. "I can smell it on you." He turns so his elbow is supporting his head as he looks at her. "It's expensive you know?"

She nods, snorting slightly. "Yeah, that's why I used it."

He groans and flops back onto his pillow. "I should have known you were a golddigger." He mutters. Though as hard as he tries to hide the mirth in his tone, she catches onto it anyway.

Kitty launches herself onto the bed, next to him. She laughs at his strangled yelp, shifting around a little so she's facing him.

She puts her hand on either side of his face and shakes his head slightly. "You love me anyway." She singsongs.

He scoffs, pulling a face. "Duh, that's why I'm marrying you."

She laughs moving to lie flat on her back.

She hears him shuffle closer to her, then takes a deep breath. Which always means he's bout to start a new tangent. "I have another requirement for our wedding-"

Kitty groans, rolling from side to side with her hands on her face. "Min-ho." She groans.

"Let me talk!" He exclaims, scandalized

She sighs, a small smile growing on her face. "Well, go on then. What is it now?"

He gives her another look - he didn't appreciate her snark - but he immediately moves past it.

"I have a specific vision for how our wedding needs to look." He says. "You know that."

She nods.

"From the flowers to the food and even - the guests." He sighs dreamily. "Everything needs to be outstanding. From the venue looks to how the guests look. They must at least try to meet that standard."

His face gets even more dreamy - probably imagining the perfect version of their wedding he's dreamed up.

"I mean bows, vests, headpieces, colours - " He takes a deep breath. "Just everything!"

"Min-ho, you can't control what people wear to our wedding." Kitty sighs. "We agreed on no dress code - other than formal, of course."

He shakes his head. "No, no! That's not what I'm talking about!" He says, somehow more passionate.

He takes her face into his hands and looks into her eyes. "I mean, they need to be dressed to the nines. The best they've ever looked. My wedding photos are going in vogue - not some family album."

Kitty opens he mouth to refute that last point but he cuts her off.

"Except our family album." He huffs. "And your families, and my moms, and Q's and Yuri's and Dae's-" He cuts himself off, shaking his head again. "But you get the point. They need to be FABULOUS!"

She stares at him. Something about how he glowed from the inside out whenever he spoke about their wedding made her mind go blank. There were no words she could use to reply to that so she just grinned, shaking her head before peeling her eyes off him.

He needed to stop being so beautiful.

"I mean it!" He insists, crossing his arms. "If you don't look fabulous, don't come to my wedding!"

He gives her a quick look up and down, pretending to judge. Then he leans a bit closer. "That goes for my bride too," he adds.

Kitty laughs, rolling onto her back. "You're ridiculous." she sighs, her voice betraying her fondness for him.

For a moment there's silence as she stares at the bedroom ceiling. Which is quite odd, considering Min-ho nearly always has something to say.

She turns her head to look at him and her heart nearly stops.

He was just staring at her.

His eyes shimmering in the moonlight.

Kitty had seen countless pictures of galaxies - and somehow Min-ho had managed to place all of them in his eyes.

The bastard.

Did he have to be so gorgeous?

She watches as his hand comes up and brushes against her cheek. So delicately, as though she was made of porcelain.

He looks at her - takes her in - his eyes wandering over every inch of her face. Trying to commit it to memory.

His hand pulls away, hesitating before he lowers it back to his side. His shining eyes turned glassy with tears.

"Min-ho?" She whispers. Her heart ached at how afraid he seemed. Suddenly so small, so overwhelmed. It was so unlike him.

But then again, he'd been like this the day he confessed too.

One minute they were laughing and the next he was staring at her like she made his world spin, telling her he fell in love with her.

"Min-ho?" She tries again. This time her voice is softer, as warm as she could make it.

He blinks, composing himself - only to look at her again and tear up once more. He shifts closer, his hand inches from her skin.

She can feel the comforting heat of his body.

"I love you," He whispers. "so much."

His hand caresses her cheek again; she can feel how it shakes.

Kitty looks into his eyes as she places her hand over his, holding it against her cheek. For a moment she just holds it there, not moving or speaking. Waiting till his hand slowly relaxed.

Then she grips it tighter, giving it a reassuring squeeze.

"I love you too." She whispers, back.

And she meant it, every word.
