   Summary

   River isn't perfect, but in skew of the neon, he's as good as she's ever had. In her final days, V wonders just where their relationship means. A cop--a family man with a kindness unfitting his profession, and a half-dead merc. It shouldn't work, and maybe it doesn't, but V thinks it might be just what she needs.
