Summary
Tess stares so hard at the slim white plastic strip in her hand that she thinks it might melt, but it doesn't. She keeps trying to tell herself that it can't possibly be right but the two other strips sitting on the bathroom counter won't let her believe the lie.
It's two blue lines, all three of the tests have two very distinct blue lines. Tess drops the strip in her hand next to the other two and proceeds to throw up in the toilet like she has been every morning for the last three weeks.
IE: Tess finds out that she might not be too old to be a mother after all.
