   "A flash of silver catches Zhou Zishu’s eye as the line cook whips his head around to fuss at the waitress in a stream of annoyed Mandarin. Zhou Zishu turns to get a better look at him, certain he’s never seen the man working here before and curious despite himself. He’d definitely have noticed that face, his full lips and sharp eyes framed by the nearly-white hair that’s falling out of the stupid uniform hat. Zhou Zishu is still staring when the cook’s gaze shifts away from the waitress and lands on him. There’s just a moment where they’re frozen, caught on each other like they’re both stuck in a gravity well. But then the other man grins and raises an eyebrow before actually winking at Zhou Zishu and returning his attention to the grill."
