Argos stood right outside of Mr. Plant's void. He didn't really know if Mr. Plant ever caught onto it but it if he did, then he didn't take notice at all. Argos watched Mr. Plant as the taller man was watching TV. Noticing that Mr. Plant was distracted, Argos went up to the glass and got a quick photo of Mr. Plant. Unfortunately, the camera made some sort of clicking sound which instantly caught the attention of the plant.
Mr. Plant looked over at his window. There was no one there. He could've sworn he heard a camera click. Mr. Plant hated attention. His eyes scanned the room, yet, finding nothing and no one being there. Still, he felt a pair of eyes on him. He felt like he was being watched. Mr. Plant hated the attention. He was sure that if this feeling didn't leave, he was going to end up with another body in his non-existent backyard.
Argos was so stupid. Mr. Plant seemed a bit more on edge than he was before. He also seemed very much on the look out of someone… Anyone to justify that camera click. Argos didn't mean to make Mr. Plant stressed. He thought about apologizing but what was he supposed to say? 'Hey, Mr. Plant! I'm terribly sorry for stalking you. I didn't mean too.' If he ever said that then he was sure he'd die from the embarrassment.
Mr. Plant couldn't even concentrate on his favorite horror film anymore. At least 20 minutes had passed and he still felt eyes on him. He felt so exposed. Did someone find out what he did? Everyone he murdered? Is someone trying to find incriminating evidence to throw him in jail for the rest of his life? Not just because he's 50% banana leaf?
Argos tapped his camera nervously. If he wants to keep up his shrine of Mr. Plant, he needed to actually get some photos. But Mr. Plant seemed super aware of what was going on. Argos knew that if he got caught then that would be enough reason for Mr. Plant to stop being his friend. And if that ever happened… He doesn't know what he would do. His nervous tapping on his camera was becoming repetitive, and soon… Another click.
Mr. Plant had have enough. He wants to know who was taking pictures of him. He hated attention. He just wanted that person to die. Mr. Plant angrily busted through his front door and walked around the perimeter, looking for someone to be his next victim. Except… He found nothing but a camera. However, this camera loomed familiar. Almost too familiar. He recognized it as Argos' camera. But that was strange. What would Argos be doing at his void.
Mr. Plant picked up the camera, flipping through the different photos and videos. The videos had every single murder captured on it. The photos, however, were all pictures if him. Pictures that had been taking, unknowingly. That's why he's been feeling unsettled for a few days. He needed to have a little chat with Argos.
Argos was talking to the pet rock that Mr. Plant had gotten for his birthday, "And that's what I said! Can't you believe it!? Also I-" The doorbell suddenly rung, "Oh, hold on. L-Let me get that real quick. I'll be right back."
Argos quickly opened the door, finding a letter. He looked at the letter suspiciously before picking it up and closing the door. Argos sighed, muttering to himself, "Who could be sending me a letter at this time of night? It's 2 Am." Argos opened the letter, carefully. It was written in that familiar red ink. It was from Mr. Plant. Argos smiled, reading the letter.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dear Argos,
I wanna invite you over tomorrow.
After you finish your last job.
It's been a while since we last hung out.
Mr. Plant.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Argos was actually quite excited. He smiled, holding the card up to his chest. He was quick to put it on the calender before putting the letter with the others... That were on his shrine... Of his best friend. He looked at the spot where, normally, the camera would be sitting and stood there horrified when it wasn't there. Did he leave it at Mr. Plant's house? What of he dropped it and someone found it and also found all the evidence to Mr. Plant's murder!?
Argos sat down on his bed, doing some breathing exercises to calm himself down. He'll just have to go look for the camera tomorrow. Maybe after he hangs out with Mr. Plant. The last thing he wants is for Mr. Plant to be arrested. That would definitely result in Mr. Plant being taken away from him. And he just couldn't let that happen. Argos would cut down any wall that stood in between him and Mr. Plant.
Argos was quite happy, today. He would be seeing Mr. Plant after his various jobs. Babysitting was first, today. But he felt a little more on the edge without his camera. A sinking feeling had already entered his chest, as if someone was pulling on his strings. His temper went off a little more than it would have on the children. Argos didn't mean to take out his anxiety on the children.
Next up was gardening. He had the various different plants that he had to remember how to take care of them. Like the plant with legs. He had to remind that plant of what will happen if he tried to attack Argos. After all, he needed to assert himself as the top of the food chain. He bent down, eye level with the plant on legs.
"Let me remind you of what will happen of you try and kill me... If you try to kill me there WILL be consequences," A grin broke out on Argos' face. Usually he would just read it out from the book but today, he was too tired and definitely not in the mood. Argos was cranky without his camera.
And finally, he just had to deliver mail. Going from house to house, he grabbed the mail and delivered them in the right spots. It seemed to go way faster than the other two jobs he had today. Maybe it was because he was excited to see Mr. Plant, in which, he hadn't seen the taller male in about two weeks. It had been a while and both of them had been busy. But Argos was just to addicted to Mr. Plant to stay away from him for too long.
That's why he was at Mr. Plant's void, spying on him. Argos was very aware of how weird and creepy it was to spy on his best friend but it didn't matter to him. Mr. Plant was always awesome in his eyes. No matter how many people Mr. Plant killed. Even if Argos didn't like the sight of blood that much. He knew that Mr. Plant always had a reason for who he killed. Argos knew that. Mr. Plant never killed someone for absolutely no reason.
And, in no time, Argos was done with his jobs today. Now it was time to head to Mr. Plant's house. Mr. Plant's void was not very far from Argos' void. And suddenly, Argos was now in a better mood. He almost forgot about his missing camera. He wasn't so worried right now though. He'll look for it later. Finally, right outside of Mr. Plant's door, he knocked a few times.
Mr. Plant opened the door. Argos smiled, "Hello, M-Mr. Plant! Can I c-come in!"
Mr. Plant nodded, opening the door and letting Argos in. He kept a close eye on Argos. Mr. Plant watched the shorter male sit on the couch, watching whatever was left of what Mr. Plant was watching earlier. Argos took note of it being a crime documentary.
"I d-didn't know that you like w-watching crime documentary, Mr. P-Plant!"
Mr. Plant shrugged. It was a nice show and was different from his usual horror. He knew that Argos wasn't a big fan of horror movies and there really wasn't much airing right now. Argos seemed invested in the movie. Mr. Plant wasn't fidgeting with his hands right now, as per usual. He was planning to confront Argos with the camera so he was holding it.
Mr. Plant decided that he would drop it for now. He placed the camera on the side table next to his couch and sat down beside Argos. After a bit of watching, Argos was still as invested as before while Mr. Plant was nodding off to sleep. The taller male fell asleep not to long after. Argos was smiling and basically vibrating. The documentary was Interesting. Argos looked to the side, about to say something when he noticed that Mr. Plant was asleep.
"Guess h-he was tired of the c-crime documentary," Argos muttered, patting Mr. Plant on the head.
Looking passed Mr. Plant, however, Argos' eyes widened. He saw the camera that he had dropped. Was it always right there? Argos felt exposed right then and there. He stood up and grabbed the camera. He had no way of knowing if Mr. Plant went through it because it seemed like everything wad in place. Argos looked at Mr. Plant. He was worried that Mr. Plant didn't want to be friend's with him anymore.
Argos shook the thought aside and moved towards the door before someone grabbed him. Argos looked over his shoulder to see Mr. Plant… Awake. Mr. Plant looked curious. Argos chuckled, "Oh. It's just t-that it's g-getting pretty late."
Mr. Plant looked over at the clock that Argos had gotten him for Christmas, pointing at the clock. Argos loomed over. It was only 1 Pm. Argos had just gotten over there at 11 Am. Mr. Plant stared at Argos and then his eyes flicked to the table right beside the couch. The camera was gone. Mr. Plant stood up and pointed at Argos then pointed at the table. The taller male held out his hand for the camera. Argos sighed, defeated, giving Mr. Plant the camera.
Mr. Plant pointed at the camera, opening it and showing Argos the gallery and contents of the camera. Mr. Plant raised an eyebrow, waiting for an answer.
"U-Uh," Argos started, "I'm s-so sorry M-Mr. Plant! I didn't m-mean to invade your privacy! it it's just that I re-really like you and-"
Mr. Plant was aware that Argos was still rambling but he also stopped listening. He didn't really think that Argos like him. Sure he was a close friend and barely anyone had that title. Actually, no one held that title. Argos was more special to him than any other person. Mr. Plant was sure that there was something up with Argos wanting to be his friend.
And when Mr. Plant had gotten the camera, he was sure that all his suspicions were correct. He assumed that Argos was planning to turn it into the police. Now the shorter male was rambling on and on as if he was in the wrong. Mr. Plant was stunned at how he was so lucky to have Argos in his life. Argos didn't treat him like an outsider. For Mr. Plant, it was always hard to make friends.
"I really wa-wanted to tell you someday but I w-was afraid that you'd stop b-being my friend. You were always amazing after-" Argos was throw off guard when Mr. Plant covered his mouth.
Mr. Plant though Argos' rambling was cute, however, he was sure that the shorter male was going to have a stroke if he didn't stop soon. Argos seemed to calm down a little bit to the point where he doesn't start rambling once Mr. Plant releases him. The taller male didn't really like physical contact but he'd make an exception for Argos' hopeful face.
"Mr. Plant?"
Mr. Plant snapped back to reality and looked at Argos. The shorter man seemed a bit curious. What could Argos be curious about? Mr. Plant took a step back.
"How come y-you don't t-talk? Everybody c-can talk except you."
Mr. Plant shrugged. He didn't really know why he couldn't talk, either. He didn't really look into it to much. Mr. Plant just saw it as how he was different from other people. Everybody was always offended when Mr. Plant wouldn't talk to them. Argos didn't really care though and didn't even try to get Mr. Plant to talk. Mr. Plant was truly grateful.
"Also. Mr. Plant?" Argos blushed a tiny bit, "Can we be… More than friends?"
Mr. Plant didn't blush. He didn't really know if he could blush. But if he knew how to, then he would definitely be blushing right now. Mr. Plant calmed himself down quickly and shrugged. Mr. Plant like Argos quite a lot. If Argos wanted to be a thing then who was Mr. Plant to stop him? And it was quite cute when Argos' face turned hopeful and full of energy. Argos smiled. His smiled beamed. Mr. Plant thought he would go blind at how bright Argos' smile was.
But now… Mr. Plant was happy. Mr. Plant was tackled onto the couch, dropping the camera in the process. Mr. Plant was caught off surprise. It was going to take a while to get use to Argos' affection but Mr. Plant didn't really care. The both soon fell asleep after that. The couch was not that comfortable to be honest.
But that really was the best sleep both Mr. Plant and Argos ever got. And now, they were happy and content with each other. No longer denying their feelings for one another.
