If she wasn't using a gun, perhaps she was searching for one. The X Caliber was very important, after all. Even a skilled gunwoman would have trouble handling it without years of training.
But when he turned the corner to where he'd heard about the lead, he saw a shimmering on the floor. He knelt down. He thought it might be oil, maybe from a gun or a bike, but no. He knew that smell anywhere.
It was mercury.
He didn't even get a chance to stand before he stumbled back. He looked down the hallway and saw it trailing down the steel floors. He could hear the steady drip, drip, drip, growing fainter.

Gerry had known he was sick for a long time. He didn't know exactly what was wrong, but he knew he certainly wasn't healthy. He was rapidly losing weight, unable to keep down any food. He would be up for hours in the night, vomiting in their motel rooms across the globe. He would stumble and feel dizzy, usually claiming it was The Vast playing tricks whenever Gertrude noticed. His vision would double, which he claimed was The Eye. These lies worked for a good long while, until his seizure.

“Dazai, what the fuck is this?”
Brown eyes, still cloudy, peered up at him as if the words hadn’t even been comprehended in Dazai’s mind. His head cocked to the side in a silent question and Chuuya moved to push Dazai’s leg up a bit further, bringing it into the light so they could both see properly.
The near entirety of the skin was marred, of course, self-inflicted scars crisscrossing each other, old enough to have turned a faded white, but that wasn’t what he was focused on.
The issue lay in a series of fresh ones. They were scarily recent, probably only a few days old at best, and scabbed over. None looked bad enough to have needed stitches but they were pretty damn close.
Those hadn’t been there the last time they’d done this. In fact, nothing of the sort had been there any of the times they’d fucked since before Dazai left the Port Mafia.

In which Chuuya and Dazai have been having casual sex for years and all of that is fine until Dazai relapses for the first time since leaving the Port Mafia.

(Missing scene between Ragnarök : End of the Line and Terminus from The Bifrost Incident album. I imagine having to sacrifice yourself and your wife just to give your planet more time to prepare for a threat they have no clue is coming probably isn't conducive for a healthy headspace.

Jonah's interest in Jon grows as it seems like The Eye has set its sights on the boy, and as their more frequent contact causes episodes where Elias momentarily regains control.
