It was a sunny day when Dan Heng arrived in Canada to see his boyfriend, the forecast said it’ll be warm and there wouldn’t be any rain. After getting his luggage and catching a taxi, he arrives at Caelus’s apartment building. It was made out of bricks and was older but Caelus claimed “it was perfect.” He rings his boyfriends apartment and opens the door once he hears the buzz. He walks up the flight of stairs to the top floor before seeing the all too familiar number, 507, that’s his apartment. After knocking on the door, it swings open and a gray haired male jumps at him.
“Dan Heng, you’re here!” Caelus hugs him tightly, refusing to let go. The raven haired returns the hugs. “I’ve missed you so much..” Dan Heng smiles at him, “I'm here now.” Caelus grabs his suitcases and brings them to his room while Dan Heng follows closely behind. “Can I get you something to drink?” Caelus nods as his boyfriend requests green tea. He places Dan Heng’s suitcases in a corner before going to the kitchen. His boyfriend decides to lay down in Caelus’ bed, cuddling one of his many plushies.
“Love I have your tea.” He places the mug on the bed stand before laying down next to Dan Heng. “Wow you’re replacing me with Saturn?” He looks up, “Is that their name?” Caelus nods and Dan Heng continues, “Then yes, I’m replacing you with Saturn.” Caelus lets out a fake gasp and pretends to fall over, “You’re replacing me? The audacity.” He giggles before wrapping his arms around Dan Heng.
The two lovers spend the afternoon in each others brace, soaking up each others presence. Soon the sky was filled this clouds and as the last glimpse of the sun disappeared, it started to rain. “I thought it wasn’t to rain?” He looked over at Caelus who shrugged. “It wasn’t supposed to but the weather can change very quickly.” He brushes a hair out of Dan Heng’s face.
A few hours passed and the rain still hasn’t stopped. The couple were getting ready for bed when a loud thunder broke the silence, scaring Dan Heng. Caelus notices that his partner was being too quiet. “Are you okay darling?” Dan heng shakes his head, not wanting to use his words. “Come here.” Caelus opens his arms, embracing the raven haired. “Brush your teeth and then we’ll go to bed.”
Those were the long 3 minutes of Dan Heng’s life, he keep shaking and couldn’t focus. Caelus whispered reassuring words and rubbed his back. The 3 minutes were finally up and they climbed into bed. Caelus kisses Dan Heng and starts playing with his hair. The raven haired puts his arms around Caelus’ waist, trying to get as close as possible.
Caelus looks down at his boyfriend, still worried. “Are you-“ He gets cut off by more thunder, causing Dan Heng to flinch. Caelus immediately starts to comfort him. “You’re okay, shhhh.” Dan Heng starts to cry softly, leading Caelus to be more worried. He wipes his boyfriend’s tears and kisses him. Dan Heng kisses back, the two embrace each other. “Can you sing for me?” Dan Heng looks up at his boyfriend with pleading eyes. Caelus nods, “Any requests?”
“Fly me to the moon please..”
“Of course.” He smiles and starts to sing.
“Fly me to the moon
Let me play among the stars”
His soft voice fills the room as Dan heng slowly falls asleep.
“Let me see what spring is like
On a-Jupiter and Mars.”
“I love you..” Dan Heng whispers before falling asleep,
“I love you too.” Caelus smiles and keeps singing.
“In other words, hold my hand
In other words, baby kiss me~”
