Summary
Castiel has never been good at following instruction. Each of the three breeds has their own section of Heaven, but Omegas are the only ones confined to theirs. It’s stifling, and despite many escape attempts Castiel can never catch more than a glimpse of what lies beyond the walls encircling Heaven’s Omega grounds. The only respites he can get are when he visits the heavens made by Humans, where their souls reside. One day he decides to try escaping to Earth rather than another part of Heaven. Not only does he succeed, he gets to spend a day reveling in Earth in its purest form, not the filtered versions conjured by the memories of souls.
Naturally it doesn’t last. His own kind haven’t found a single thing yet they can’t ruin. Within a day of finally tasting true freedom, Castiel finds himself in a den of monsters, Demons, and every other being with a valid reason to dislike Angels. But nothing else had been what it seemed that day, why would this be any different?
