so a little while ago i made this call me by your name jegulus au in my brain, mostly because of Timmy C, but also because i wanted to write happy jegulus, plus its summer, so, very cmbyn vibes.
i wrote it in the tags, but oliver is rodolphus lestrange, who stayed with the blacks nearly four years prior to where this story kicks off, so no sad endings! Jegulus is endgame I promise!!! Elio is obviously regulus in this au, and I'll let you figure out what sort of roles the rest of the marauders, skittle squad, and Valkyries take on.

Now, though, this boy, this James Potter, introduces himself with an easy grin and a warm, calloused hand outstretched to grasp his own, and Regulus feels something in the Earth shift and slide to a halting stop. Because of course, how could the Earth spin around the sun when the sun has found its way to the Black’s driveway; the greatest star of them all wriggled itself into the home of those named for the lesser stars, and now the warm, radiant sun has his hand outstretched for this cold, dimmed, lesser being that is Regulus Black.
