Chapter Text
Piper POV
I was on my way to the beach to sit and think. I like to do that sometimes. When all of a sudden, Leo pops up out of nowhere asking for help. I sighed and then asked the question, "What do you need help with?" Leo looked skiddish more nervous than usual. "Well, Piper you're a daughter of Aphrodite. You're good with relationship stuff right?" Leo asked.
Of course, Leo needed all the help he could get when it came to girls. "Leo just because I'm a daughter of aphrodite doesn't mean I give good dating advice." I told him which was true. He looked away disappointed, embarrassed maybe. "Well," Leo began slowly, "you dated Jason, how did you two get together?" I thought for a second and then gave him my response, "You shouldn't take advice from someone else's experience, you do or say different things for different people so unless you want to ask out Jason you're our of luck," I was kinda proud of myself for that advice.
Leo's face got red, "So ummm if I want to ask out Jason. . . How erm how would I go about doing that?" He asked me and I stood in shock. Leo, the guy who flirts with every girl alive, want to ask out Jason. . . LEO WANTS TO ASK OUT JASON! I wasn't quite sure how to react.
"Well. . ." I began not even quite sure what to think, "I might be able to help with that. Do you think he likes you back?" I ask trying to get some grasp of the situation. Leo took a moment to think about it, "I- I don't know. I doubt it but Jason can be really hard to read so,"
Yep that checks out. When Jason and I were dating I could never tell what he was thinking. He was always so serious, every once in a while he would say something sweet but most times he would listen more than talk. Which was half the reason me and him broke up. "Okay well if you don't really think he likes you then why bother confessing?" I asked still confused about the situation between Leo and Jason.
Leo thought for a moment and gave a response, "Well it sucks. Like I tell Jason basically everything and I just can't not tell him about this," he continued, "I figured if I'm gonna end up telling him I'd rather be smart about it then say it at some dumb moment and ruin everything,"
I let that sit with me for a moment. The amount of though Leo put into this was weird for Leo. "Wow! Leo you're actually making a smart choice for once! Good Job!" I joked and Leo punched my arm.
"But for real," I said as I dropped the advice of a lifetime, "Just be honest with Jason. He values honesty and sincerity more than anything," Leo sat for a second, "I thought you might say that," Leo responded seeming kinda sad about it.
"Hey, don't worry," I told him, "When asking someone out it depends on both the people. So how I ask someone out is different then how you would. My point is, be yourself." I placed my hand on his shoulder and smiled. "Now get out of here," I told him as he ran off.
Later that day I was walking around camp and I stumbled upon Reyna. She was at camp because of diplomatic reasons. And she just visits sometimes. "So are you and Jason still dating?" Reyna asked me. I remember Annabeth mentioning that Reyna used to like Jason when they were kids but I wasn't sure that was the case now.
"No we broke up," I told her, "but we're still friends." Reyna nodded. She was also very hard to read. Maybe that's why her and Jason got along so well. "How about what's his name?" Reyna asked, "the scrawny kid?" I heard scrawny and immediately thought Leo. "Oh you mean Leo?" I wondered and Reyna nodded. I gave a small laugh and said, "Leo couldn't get a girlfriend to save his life." Reyna sat there for a minute pondering gods know what. "Why do you ask?" I say hoping to get what Reyna was thinking.
"Okay. . ." Reyna began hesitantly, "You can't tell anyone but, Jason likes some guy named Leo and I thought that since you're friends with Leo and I'm friends with Jason we could get the together," Reyna explained. I thought that idea was great! And now I know that Leo and Jason like each other, Reyna is willing to help. And this will keep me busy.
"Okay. I'll help. Have you got a plan?" I asked and Reyna bave a quick response, "Not really no. I was hoping you would kind of know what to do. I'm not the best at this whole romance thing so I was kinda hoping you had a plan."
I sat for a minute, we could get Jason and Leo to the same place but they probably wouldn't make moves so we would have to plant the idea jnto their heads. I kinda already did that with Leo just now so now we have to get them together in the same place. I explained this plan to Reyna and she nodded.
"So where should we get them to meet?" She asked, which was a great question. "Maybe by the beach or somewhere important to them like bunker 9?" I responded. To which Reyna nodded. It was getting late and the sun was about to set. So me and Reyna agreed to start the plan. So I left to go find Jason.
