Summary
Contrary to canon belief, the battle of Hogwarts doesn’t end happily.
Yes, Harry had been happy as he watched Voldemort fade to dust, but his happiness was short lived for when he turned around, he wasn’t greeted by the smiling faces of his friends and family. Instead, he was greeted with a graveyard of their corpses. The backlash of his last faceoff with Voldemort had created a wave of magic that went astray, killing everyone who had been in the facility.
In a desperate attempt to revive his loved ones, Harry had turned to doing something stupid. He tried to go back in time, hoping to change everything – to save everyone – even if it meant having to die in the process.
However, desperation oftentimes leads to bad decisions and the timeline was particularly unhappy with Harry’s decision to go back in time. That is exactly how Harry found himself living in a fusion of two timelines that had messily collided, instead of simply going back to the past where Tom Riddle was just a child.
Now, with him thrown back in time, Ron and Hermione as strangers, and Draco as his new ally, Harry finds himself in an unusual position at Hogwarts… with Tom Riddle’s eyes following his every move.
