Chapter 1: And They Were Roomates

Chapter Text

Carlos watched as Fairy Godmother hung up the new dorms list. Since the newer VK's had come to Auradon to start school they needed to incorporate some of them into a dorm as their parents abandoned them, moved to their home country, or stayed on the Isle. Fairy Godmother had asked the Auradonians if they would be willing to share a room with some of the kids as there is still a stigma around the Isle kids and she doesn't quite trust them all. Carlos being one of them, understanding what it is like to be the new kid from the Isle. Carlos looked on the list of names for his own and new roommate. It was found near the top.

"Room 244: De Vil, Carlos & Hook, Harry" Although his room didn't change Carlos stared at the name next to his. Just because he had saved Auradon alongside Harry the two of them had a rocky history, severely affecting the two boys' relationship. Carlos let out a quiet sigh before heading back to his room, hoping to get there before Harry.

Carlos walked down the Auradon Prep halls, quiet chatting from the other kids in the hall. His heart slightly pounded in his chest as he approached his room, not excited to spend half a year with the one person he wouldn't want as a roommate. Standing outside of dorm 244 he could hear movement inside, dreading who he might see Carlos pulled his key out of his pocket and unlocked the dorms door. Opening the door, to his surprise was Jay, standing over his former bed with a suitcase putting the remaining of his items in there.

"Hey," Carlos sighed with relief, sitting down on his bed, "Getting the rest of your things?" He asked as if it wasn't obvious.

"Yep, they moved me three doors down, all the way to 247," Jay chuckled the last bit.

"Wow, you moved far," Carlos replied sarcastically, "Who are you moving in with?"

"Hunter Heart." Hunter Heart was the son of the Queen of Hearts, who had died just after he was born leaving him an orphan. Carlos remembered when him and the gang were little and sometimes Hunter and Evie would act like they were King and Queen of the Isle. The two of them would boss every other kid around and throw a tantrum whenever they didn't listen. "Who'd you get?"

Carlos breathed in, "Harry Hook," He sighed.

Jay looked over at the doorway, "Speak of the devil." Carlos's head soon followed Jays. Standing in the doorway, was Harry, he had a tall, strong built reaching nearly six feet tall. He had messy, slightly greasy black hair, and wore a grimy red, sleeveless leather jacket, a dirty, torn up white shirt, ripped black jeans with all sorts of decorative chains on them, and a sharp metal hook he always carried on him.

"Talking about me eh?" Harry asked with a heavy Scottish accent and a smirk on his face that Carlos hated.

"I should get going," Jay said walking towards Carlos, who had stood up from his bed. "See you later." Jay pulled Carlos into a bro hug, and they patted each other on the back. Harry moved out the doorway as Jay left, making sure to close the door behind Jay, leaving Carlos basically trapped in the room with Harry.

"What where you guys saying about me?" Harry asked walking towards Carlos.

"None of your business," Carlos said, pushing pass Harry with his shoulder, heading towards the door. A cold hand grabbed Carlos's wrist and pulled him towards Harry. Harry's cold metal hook pulled Carlos's chin up to look at Harry, who towered over him with Carlos somehow only being 5'5, making Harry nearly seven inches taller than Carlos.

Harry moved his mouth next to Carlos's ear before whispering, "You of all people know how I feel about people ignoring me." Harry moved his mouth away and looked Carlos in the eyes.

Carlos's heart skipped a beat, and he could tell his face had flushed red based off the smirk on Harry's face. "We.. We were talking about our new roommates." Harry gave Carlos a look he knew all too well, basically asking him "Are you sure." Carlos had managed to sputter out, "I swear, that's all."

"Good boy Car," Harry said, his smirk returning. Harry let go of Carlos's wrist and moved his hook from under Carlos's chin.

"Don't call me that," Carlos growled at him.

"Feisty," Harry laughed as he sat on his new bed. Carlos rolled his eyes as he headed for the door to leave, where was he going? He wasn't quite sure yet, but anything but here. "They forced me into therapy, something about growing up on the Isle and how that affected me. Did they do that to you?"

Carlos just rolled his eyes, ignoring Harry as he left the room. Leaving Harry alone and slightly hurt.
