    So, when there's a knock at the house he's staying in, Daryl Dixon already has his backpack packed and slung over his shoulder when he answers the door. The pitying look and forced smile Deanna gives him does little to stop the stones of dread from settling uncomfortably at the bottom of his stomach. She opens her mouth to speak, and Daryl shakes his head with a grunt. If she says she's sorry, he might shoot her through the head with an arrow, or strangle her. Both are appealing, in all honesty.

    Being sorry would mean not coming in the middle of the night, like a coward, to force him to leave.
