THIS IS GOING TO HELP US UNDERSTAND WHAT HAPPENED TO WEI YING IN HIS FIRST LIFE AND MANY SHOCKING DISCOVERIES ARE MADE ALONG THE WAY.
When Wei Ying was adopted by Jiang he thought they would love him like he was their family but oh how wrong he was. He was their punching bag. Madam Yu would whip him with Zidian, and Jiang Wanyin would beat him black and blue telling his dog to bite him even though Wei Ying told them a million times he was terrified of dogs, Jiang Yanli was the worst she would manipulate him, fed him lies about her family saying they loved him and would feed him pork soup and sect leader Jiang didn't care what happened to him.
At the age of 11 Jiang Wanyin was titled the head disciple. Wei Ying never achieved anything. he was cast out. They would not let him participate in anything. he never made a name for himself. He was known as a servant son. He was reduced to nothing.
at the age of 15, he was allowed to go to Gusu with the other disciples and Jiang Wanyin but he wasn't a disciple so he was sent as a servant for them.
When they arrived in Gusu they had forgotten their invitation. They were not allowed inside. He was the one who was told to go back down and get it for them. it took him 5 hours to get to the inn since he was not a cultivator. he found the invitation and a letter appeared it was from Jiang Wanyin he wanted him to get wine as well. It took him 5 hours to get back to cloud recess. When he got there there wasn't anyone. it seems like all of them left him alone. there were no guards around.
he slept outside in the cold with nothing to warm him up.
oh, how he wishes to just die at that exact moment, but life doesn't get easy for him. He was woken up by the guards in the morning. the guards look at him weirdly. he showed them his invitation and he was let in and taken to the Jiang side of the dorm. The first thing he saw was Jiang Wanyin's angry face.
