Chapter Text
As the night went on, gradually the amount of people on the dancefloor began to peter out; people needing to put kids to bed, people with early starts, introverts whose social batteries were in desperate need of recharging. With each departure, Suki and Eve thanked them for coming graciously, but it did not take long for them to return their eyes to each other; magnets, unable to resist the pull.
Eventually, there was a pointed cough behind them. Even then, so absorbed in each other, it took a few taps on Suki’s shoulder before she was aware of the barman awkwardly waiting for her attention.
“Sorry, ma’am, but – we need to close up now.”
Suki looked around them and finally acknowledged that they were the only two left in the room. She turned back to the barman, smiling sheepishly.
“Sorry.”
He waved this away, smiling, and walked off to help his colleagues clear up. Suki moved to help him and felt a gentle grip on her wrist.
“And where do you think you’re going?”
Suki felt her cheeks flushing, registering the husky tone Eve’s voice had taken.
“I was trying to be a kind, good-natured human being.”
“Ah. Well, I’m afraid you’ll have to do that another night.”
“Oh, will I?”
“Mmm. I’ve got plans for you, Mrs. Unwin.”
Still not looking at Eve, Suki let her voice take on an authoritative tone.
“I told you – I make the decisions.”
She yelped as Eve pulled her closer before sweeping her off her feet completely, holding her in the bridal pose. The combination of her twinkling, flirty eyes, and her lopsided smile disarmed Suki completely.
“Not tonight.”
Suki giggled as Eve sprinted out of the room and up the hotel stairs towards the bridal suite. Once in there, she gently lowered Suki onto the bed, moving to kiss her neck. Suki quickly rolled away, still giggling. Eve sat up, face flushed, a look of mock frustration on her face.
“Oh, it’s like that, is it?”
Suki merely raised an eyebrow in response, her smirk growing wider. Eve bit her lip and moved toward Suki again, but Suki dodged her yet again, this time moving away from the bed towards the wall. Eve followed her slowly, raising her arms to pin Suki between them.
“There, now,” she whispered, softly, her lips inches from Suki’s. “You’re not going to wriggle out of this one.”
Suki closed the gap between them, whispering against Eve’s mouth.
“Watch me.”
Eve yelped as Suki jabbed her softly in the ribs and ducked under her, running again to the other side of the room, grinning.
“You little bugger.”
Suki’s grin grew wider still at the frustrated pout on Eve’s face. Eve shook her head.
“You’re really giving me my marching orders on our wedding night?”
“I never said anything of the sort.”
Eve raised her eyebrows, her lopsided smile returning.
“Oh? What are you saying then?”
Suki’s eyes took on a hungry glint as she looked her new wife up and down.
“Shoes.”
Locking eyes with Suki, Eve kicked her shoes off, nudging them under the table.
“Jacket.”
Smile widening, still without breaking eye contact, Eve took off the blazer of her tuxedo, putting it on the chair beside her. Piece by piece, Suki instructed her to take more and more things off until she was stood completely naked. Eve looked down at herself, grinning, then back at Suki, still fully kitted out in her saree.
“The power dynamic feels a bit uneven at the moment, love.”
Suki stood up, walking slowly and deliberately towards Eve. She put her hand on Eve’s waist, lifting her face up with her other hand, as though she were about to kiss her. She felt Eve’s breath tickle her face and smiled, knowing just how flustered Eve was. She gently nudged the tip of Eve’s nose with her own.
“Bath.”
“Alone?” Eve asked, breathlessly, her hands tracing down Suki’s arms. Still smirking, Suki stepped back again, eyes raking up and down Eve’s body.
Suki took another step back, letting her eyebrow climb higher. Eve swore under her breath and reluctantly retreated into the bathroom. Once Eve had shut the door and begun running the water, Suki stood in front of the mirror and took off her saree. She took her hair down, letting her curls cascade down her back, taking in her reflection. She’d never dared buy this kind of thing before – she’d never had cause, nor the belief she could ever pull it off. With Eve, however, she knew full well that she could wear a binbag and be told she was beautiful; and, taking in the sight of her lingerie and stockings, she finally believed it. Hearing the water shut off, she allowed herself to exchange a quick, sheepish grin with her reflection, before rearranging her face once more to look authoritative; business-like; ‘Ice Queen’. Slowly, she pushed open the door to the bathroom. It took everything in her not to laugh as she watched Eve’s jaw drop. Eve tried a few times to speak, but it merely came out in incoherent, garbled mumbles.
“See anything you like, Eve?”
Eve nodded vaguely, clearly in a daze as her eyes continued to wander. Smirking, Suki turned, moving her hair away to expose the back of her corset.
“Unlace me?”
Eve didn’t need telling twice, gently kissing Suki’s neck as she unfastened the corset, letting Suki slip slowly out of it. She moved her hands up to cup Suki’s boobs but was swatted away.
“Not yet.”
Eve swore again, becoming more and more desperate. She knew it was all part of the game, and she loved it, but she wasn’t sure she could take much more. Suki turned back to face her, smirking, putting one of her legs up on the side of the bath and removing her stocking.
“Patience is a virtue.”
“I’m really not sure being virtuous is the right vibe for a lesbian wedding night.”
Suki didn’t answer, instead slowly removing her other stocking. She straightened up, returning her face to a fierce assertiveness.
“Get in.”
Eve climbed into the bath eagerly, splashing Suki slightly in the process; again, staying in character took all of Suki’s concentration, desperately fighting the instinct to laugh at how hopeless Eve became when she was this worked up. Maintaining eye contact, Suki slowly took her pants off, finally letting Eve take in the sight of her naked body. She couldn’t help but laugh now as Eve audibly gasped.
“Use your words, Eve.”
“Join me. Please.”
Suki got in, smirking.
“Tell me what you want, Eve. C’mon. Tell me.”
Eve bit her lip once more, shaking her head slightly.
“You.”
Suki grinned, leaning back against her side of the bath.
“You want me? Come and get me.”
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
“We should probably get some sleep,” murmured Eve, smiling down at Suki, stroking her cheek with her thumb. “We have a plane to catch, after all.”
Suki rolled her eyes in fake reluctance.
“If we HAVE to.”
She grinned, leaning upwards to kiss Eve once more. Eve deepened the kiss, letting herself melt into her wife before pulling back, sighing.
“I can’t believe I’m saying this, but we actually do need to stop now.”
Suki pretended to huff and rolled over in a feigned strop. Eve chuckled, spooning her, moving her hand to cup Suki’s boob. She squeezed it gently and made an air horn noise. Suki rolled back over, swatting Eve’s arm.
“Moron.”
Eve grinned, wrapping her arm around Suki and pulling her into her chest, kissing the top of her head.
“Your moron. As long as we both shall live.”
“I don’t remember being allowed to use my tits as stress balls being part of the vows.”
“That’s why you should always read the small print.”
“Ah. My mistake.”
“You get to ogle my arse in return though, so it’s win-win.”
“You do have an exceedingly good arse.”
“Alright, love. It wasn’t designed by Mr. Kipling.”
They both burst into a fit of giggles, Suki nuzzling further into Eve in the process.
“Daft mare.”
“Darling girl.”
“I love you.”
“And I you. Now go the fuck to sleep.”
