I-I'm Not Jealous

Summary:

Theo wasn't jealous, okay? He wasn't.

Work Text:

Theo wasn’t jealous, okay? He wasn’t. Sure, he may have been sitting in the corner of the Geyer-Dunbar loungeroom glaring at the other two occupants in the room, wishing agonising death upon one of them, but that wasn’t because he was jealous. He didn’t get jealous. He just didn’t want other people giggling and cuddling with his Mate, dammit. That wasn’t jealousy.

Theo also wasn’t in denial, thank you very much.

After defeating the hunters, Malia was finally able to go on her trip to Paris, and she had been away for two whole glorious months. When she told the Pack that she was coming back home to Beacon Hills, they had all arranged it so she could visit everyone individually and then they’d all have a Pack night together. It was Liam’s turn now, and the two had resolutely ignored Theo ever since Malia had walked through the front door.

Not that Theo was jealous of anything, because he wasn’t.

Now they were currently sitting on the couch talking about Malia’s trip, the sights that she saw, the people that she had met, and so forth. A guy named Isaac was brought up in the conversation, Malia had mentioned offhand that she had brought him back with her, but he was currently with Scott for reasons. Liam talked about Scott and what sort of things that had happened in Beacon Hills since she left, which admittedly wasn’t much. Things had been reasonable quite since the incident with the Wild-Hunt and the Hunters, so there wasn’t much to report.

Theo sat in a chair in the corner of the loungeroom the whole time they talked, glaring at them over the top of his Harry Potter book, the same one that Mrs. Geyer had gifted him last year for Christmas. He had already read the series once, and now he was halfway through reading them again. Unfortunately, he couldn’t concentrate with Liam and Malia laughing three feet away from him.

“I’m going to bed” Theo grumbled; slamming his book shut and heading towards the stairs.

“Aww, what’s wrong, are you jealous?” Malia teased.

Theo just glared at her before turning around and jogging upstairs.

Later that evening, after Malia had left and Liam had joined him in their bed, Theo was still in a sour mood. Liam reeked of the werecoyate, and it set his nerves on edge.

“Did I do something wrong?” Liam asked quietly after a long moment of silence.

Theo sighed, “no I’m glad you got to see her again.” He rolled over with a sigh and wrapped his arms around Liam, rubbing his scent on his mate, “your mine.”

“Of course, I am” Liam exclaimed, sounding offended, “and your mine. Do you really thing that I don’t love you?”

Theo shook his head, burying his face in Liam’s neck, “no. I love you.”

“I love you Theo” Liam repeated, “no one else. You. Don’t ever forget that.”

Theo grinned; leaning up to capture Liam’s lips, “I won’t.”
