It has been a long time since Nene's on his side. He's alone once again after the disbandment of WxS and Nene's departure for her dreams. He knows he misses her but doesn't want to admit it. He never fell in love with someone else except for Nene. She's not something, she's everything to him. Everything is nothing if she's not there. There is no worth in his creations if she's not the inspiration. Ever since that day, he's always loved her. Remembering the day that his eyes sparkled as he met his first friend. Despite her shyness and his weirdness, they both eventually warm up to each other. It's such an enchanting day for the two, a day that they will never let go.
With the memories coming back, Rui decided to tinker with an old friend, which is Nenerobo. It's been a long time since he tinker with Nenerobo, it was never used after Nene went away. He kept the robot as memorabilia for their friendship. A friendship that could've bloomed into something else if he never cowered. He decided to give it a makeover to make it look new. While tinkering, he discovered a message left behind by Nene. He never knew that it was inside the robot in the first place as he never touched the robot again ever since Nene went away. The message was in a form of a CD which he inserts in Nenerobo's back.
Upon playing the recording, a familiar voice talked.

Ehem... does this voice recording function still works? Hmm... I guess one way to figure it out. Okay, I'll start talking to myself. Gosh, this feels like a podcast.
Rui, if you ever hear this recording, I would've been away for weeks, months, or even years. It's kinda selfish of me to leave you alone for my petty dreams. But still, I won't fail you and I'll reach that dream. I'll make sure that everything you did for me won't go to waste. I am thankful for you being my friend. You're my best friend for years and we've never kept any secrets from each other. I remember that one time you fainted just because of broccoli. There are a lot of memories that we both share and I've loved all of them. There's a secret that I've never told you since we were kids. I've always liked you. Not as a friend but as something more. Never mind, I am not even sure if Nenerobo is recording everything that I've said but still, if it recorded those words, I hope it will reach you Rui.
Rui smiled and a tear fell from his face. "I've always loved you", he whispered.
A person knocked on Rui's door. Upon opening, he is stunned by the gaze of his childhood friend. He then fell and hugged Nene crying like a kid.
"Surprised by my arrival?", the girl asked.
Rui nodded and sighed "I miss you"
Nene was shaken by Rui's words, and replied "I miss you too"
Rui stood up and wiped his tears, "I'm sorry for being that dramatic"
"Well, that was a surprising welcome. Did you just listen to my old recording?", Nene questioned
"Kinda~, I saw it behind Nenerobo's mouth", he answered scratching the back of his head.
"I thought it never recorded, and it was in Nenerobo's mouth!?", Nene was taken aback by what Rui has just said.
"Yes, I was just tinkering Nenerobo and then I listened to your old recording", Rui replied
"Now, you know my secret.", Nene blushed
"I've always liked you", Nene tiptoes to reach Rui's lips
"I've always loved you," he then replied with a kiss.
