Eda can’t believe what happened today. Yes, King stole her elixir and she ended up transforming and causing utter chaos around the Owl House. But some good things came out of this otherwise disastrous day.
One: Eda told King and Luz about her curse, and they accepted her. There was no fear or judgment, just support, and if it wasn’t so sappy, Eda would thank them both profusely. In the many years she has been cursed, that was the best interaction about the curse she has experienced.
And two: Luz learned how to do magic. Eda isn’t entirely sure how she did it, but when she watches Luz draw on a piece of paper before the paper becomes an orb of light, she assumes this is a different way of performing magic than anything she knows. But it’s incredibly impressive. Luz learned to do this on her own, when rushed off her feet dealing with the Owl Beast, and her new spell was even what tamed the Beast and turned Eda back into herself.
She hasn’t known Luz long, but Eda is so proud of her apprentice. And she just knows that Luz will do more things that amaze her.
