“Stop. Repeat the rules..”
Kaveh rolls his eyes, “You make me repeat them every time! What do you think that’s going to do? Make me listen to them?”
Al-Haitham stays silent, his eyes burning through Kaveh’s soul. The blonde hair man sighs and throws his arms out.
“One. We only have 12 hours. Two. Listen to your instruction and don’t change anything,” Kaveh adds under his breath, “though that rule is loose,” he continues, “Three. The past is the past. Don’t ask about the future. Simple right? Maybe for someone as brick-headed as you.”
Al-Haitham doesn’t move one bit,“If you were any less emotional it would make this entire process a lot easier, hence the rules. Don’t forget these lives are in your hands. What you do could change their lives for the worse.”
Kaveh rubs his temples, “Or for the better!”
Al-Haitham holds his hand out, “But that is not for you to decide. Your life is yours, and their life is theirs. Don’t tamper with a person that is not your own. Past or future… let them be, Kaveh.”
“Past or future, let them be,” Kaveh mocks, “maybe you should live someone else's life for once.”
