Work Text:
Seoul had always been alive at night, Suho knew that well. He was used to driving around way past the sunset. But tonight? The streets were empty, the snow kept pouring down from the sky, and everywhere you turned around was covered in white. He had been dismissed early from his shift, the restaurant completely empty due to the snow. It was a good thing, really, because now Suho could ride slowly to pick Sieun up from his cram school. He still arrived half an hour earlier, and parked right in front of the building so Sieun couldn’t miss him. He distracted himself with his phone, ignoring the way his windbreaker had been steadily sogging with the melting snow. At least his helmet was protecting his hair and face.
“Aren’t you cold?” Sieun's voice surprised him, as soft and low as always. He was standing a few steps away from him, protected by a big puff jacket over his usual gray hoodie. He looked adorable, but Suho knew better than to say it out loud.
“I can barely feel my body.” Suho admitted with a grin, and Sieun frowned disapprovingly.
“You should have gone home.” He reprimanded him. “You’ll get sick. You didn’t have to wait for me.”
I will always wait for you, Suho wanted to say. He shook his head instead, turning around to grab Sieun’s helmet, putting it carefully on him. They held eye contact for a moment until Suho’s self control snapped.
“Cute.” He whispered, as he always did. It was unavoidable. Sieun always looked so pretty with his big sparkly eyes, pouty lips and red helmet covering his head.
“I can give you my jacket.” Sieun offered, not climbing behind Suho yet. Suho shook his head again.
“Stop worrying, your hug will keep me warm.” Suho told him, and he didn’t miss the way Sieun blushed, looking at his feet that were almost buried in the snow. He finally climbed behind Suho, and true to Suho’s words, when Sieun’s arms surrounded his waist, he immediately felt warmer. Sieun’s chest was pressed tightly against Suho’s back, and Suho knew the warmth wasn’t exclusive to Sieun’s body temperature. Sieun was his weakness.
Suho drove as slow as possible. The snow was falling harder, making it difficult to see. A block away from Sieun’s building, Suho noticed the snow blocking the street completely, but there was no other way to get there… He parked as close as he was able to before climbing off the vehicle.
Suho couldn’t avoid it, his body started shaking. He really wasn’t expecting the temperature to drop so suddenly. Sieun kept giving him worried looks and biting his lip, as if holding back from offering his jacket again. Suho would never accept it and both boys knew it. Sieun got sick way more easily than Suho anyways, who ate better and exercised often. They had to walk slowly, their feet sinking deep into the snow. Suddenly, Sieun broke the silence.
“Can I hold your hand?”
Suho turned around with surprise, sure he had heard wrong. Sieun was never against Suho’s touchy nature, but he wasn’t actively offering it either. Without thinking about it, Suho extended his hand and Sieun took it easily. Then he shove their intertwined hands into the pocket of his jacket, keeping them warm. That forced them to walk closely, their shoulders rubbing against each other with each step.
“Stay tonight.”
Suho smiled at him and Sieun smiled back shyly.
Suho didn’t feel cold anymore.
