Sunlight, Starlight

Summary:

Four years ago, Tweek's parents were incarcerated for providing their 13-year-old son with methamphetamine dissolved into his coffee since he was a small child. After they were found guilty on all accounts, Tweek went to live in a foster home, and basically disappeared from Craig's life.

That is, until he walks into the pharmacy Craig works at, asking for an overdue prescription that isn't his.

Has Tweek truly recovered from his childhood, or is he cursed with addiction for the rest of his life?

Chapter 1: Prelude - 505

Chapter Text

The stars. He was supposed to be asleep, but... the stars.

He admired them as a song, soothing and light, played into his earbuds. The kind of song meant for late nights, dreaming of what was. Meant for admiring what was lost in a bittersweet sort of way.

He knew what he should do; lay his head on the airplane seat and try his best to doze off. After all, his mom had booked an overnight flight for that very reason, so they could sleep on the plane.

But oh, the stars. Sleep could wait, because he was busy dreaming.

You wouldn't think much would change star-wise, tens of thousands of feet above the ground, seeing as the stars were so much higher than that.

But the stars were all around him. They were above him, below him, right in front of him.

Imagine that, looking down on something like the stars, both forever unchanging and constantly moving, dying, and being created from virtually nothing.

Craig Tucker, a human, was face to face with the stars themselves.
