Izumi’s dailies weren’t usually that hard. They mostly consisted of things she’d usually be doing on a, well, daily basis anyways. Helping her mom with chores, doing her homework, watching what was probably an unhealthy amount of Youtube videos.
Every now and then though she’d get one that was weird though. Recently she’d been getting a string of quests to clean a certain amount of trash from dagobah beach, every now and then she’d be tasked with taking a picture of a certain object or person (the latter of which was personally a terrifying idea for her to accomplish).
Today’s seemed pretty easy, after the usual quests she just needed to take a picture of a cat.
Except apparently all the cats in the city decided to hide from her today.
She checked to see if her neighbors may have let their cat out for a bit, nope. She checked one of the local food markets where the owner liked to feed the strays, apparently all the felines came early and had already left. She even checked a nearby cat cafe, only to find that it was closed for the day!
Izumi hadn’t even seen a single cat wandering about in the streets, only a raccoon that had chased her away when she got too close.
After a few hours outside with no results to show for it she had reluctantly began her trek home, part of her hoping she’d maybe see the neighbors cat once she returned.
Izumi hated missing her dailies, they were such an important part of her quirk that missing one always left a sinking feeling in her stomach.
She liked her quirk, she really did, but sometimes she wished it wasn’t so luck…
“Huh.”
Just as she was walking underneath an underpass she saw it. Curled up in a basket, that had a ‘Free Kitten’ sign next to it, was a tiny black kitten sleeping in the sun.
Swallowing her squeal of excitement, Izumi carefully made her way over to the basket, raised her phone, and snapped a photo just as the kitten gave an adorable yawn.
Izumi felt her subconscious stockpile of gems grow and smiled.
“Thanks, kitty.”
She reached out, giving the kitten scratches behind the ear, which it rewarded her with purring.
After a moment though, the kitten suddenly puffed its fur, backed away from Izumi’s hand, and hissed in her direction.
“Hey, what’s…”
Before she could finish her sentence Izumi felt the hairs raise, and watched as the kitten’s movement slowed to a halt.
Slowly, Izumi turned to look behind her to find a man made of slime towering over her and reaching out towards her, with her current party also being displayed in front of her.
Without thinking she reached out and grabbed the kitten, resuming time right as her hands touched it and dove out of the way, hearing an explosion go off behind her.
“Gah! You little-“
Izumi turned around to see a red, almost ghostly, version of Kachan blasting away at the slime villain, with a similarly ghostly, but green, replica of her mother redirecting the slime villain’s attacks.
Just as the villain seemed to be getting a handle on the flow of battle, a purple Midnight appeared, releasing similarly colored gas into the air, slowing the villain’s movement significantly.
Izumi hid herself behind a nearby dumpster, the kitten still held securely to her chest, and continued watching the battle.
“Kachan’s attacks don’t seem to be doing anything against him. It’s probably due to his body being made out of slime, but his eyes…”
Despite it being her plan, Izumi still couldn’t help but cringe at the villain’s wail of pain as a knife was thrown into one of his eyes, the weapon quickly being dislodged as a yellow Himiko yanked it from his body.
Still, with his body being so impervious to damage Izumi wasn’t sure which way the battle was going to go.
That was until…
“It’s all right now…”
Izumi felt her heart stop, and heard a cheerful voice in the back of her mind.
“New limited time banner now available!”

Inko stood outside her daughter’s room, watching as different lights flashed from underneath the door.
Her attention was briefly diverted when she felt something rub against her leg. Looking down she saw a fluffy black kitten begin playing with her feet.
Inko smiled, kneeling down to give the kitten plenty of pets. Of all the things for her daughter to come home with…
Her attention was once again brought to the door as a bright golden light shined from Izumi’s room, accompanied with musical flair.
Inko slowly brought her ear to the door to hear… nothing.
Inko sighed, the door creaking as she opened it. There, sitting stock still in the middle of the room, was Izumi surrounded by a series of glowing cards.
In front of her however, was what appeared to be a comic book, glowing gold, an image of Katsuki adorning the cover.
Inko carefully wrapped her arms around the still motionless Izumi and began leading her away.
“It could have been…”
“Shh, I know dear. I saved you some katsudon just in case.”
