The lilac fields are dancing to the warm spring wind, the raven haired boy walks through the field wiping the plants aside for his pathway.
He’s been down this field a million times already but the plants always seem to fall back right to its place, forevermore nothing will ever change in this field - and he’d like to keep it that way as well. It’s warm today, the perfect weather - not too hot nor cold.
The sky is vivid blue with a few white clouds travelling to the east - The boy is carrying a basket full of adzuki buns, he struggles to keep the basket from falling into the never ending field but he straightens his wobbly legs and continues forward. The road is a long one, but he’d do anything to go see his friend, his friend, a silver haired perm head who sits in the empty field in the middle of nowhere alone in solitude. He’s waiting for someone, the friend has said. But where was that someone? Who’d leave a child waiting out in a empty field? The raven haired boy had pondered all those things, but no questions were answered - It was fine, everyone has secrets they wish to keep; so the ravenet did not enquire any further into his friend’s situation.
Pushing the last few strands of lilac out of his view, the raven haired boy reaches the plain field. It’s eerie as usual and expectedly, the ravenet wonders how the silver haired boy stays here alone. He walks further into the vacant field in search for the familiar figure. The silver haired boy usually is sat on the central point of the empty field, he shouldn’t be that far off - the ravenet thinks.
He holds the basket close to his chest and heads up the tall hill, where the he could spot the familiar cloud of silver under a tree. The ravenet feels his mouth open into a wide grin and rushes over to the tree, minding to not to spill the contents of the basket, the silver haired boy notices the ravenet’s presence and waves excitedly.
The short grass is ticklish, his sandals scrape the ground as his stubby legs rush over in a much too fast movement for the boy. Briefly, the ravenet reaches the tree.
“ Toushirou! You’re here! “ The silver haired boy smiles, shuffling to get close to the raven haired boy.
“ You know I wouldn't leave you alone Gintoki. “ Toushirou wipes of a sweat but smiles back at Gintoki.
“ I brang the buns you like so much. “ Toushirou hands Gin the basket, the silver haired boy excitedly opens the contents of the basket, basically drooling at the sight of the fluffy white buns.
“ You’re the best.. “ Gin takes a bite of the bun and beckons for Toshi to take a seat next to him, and Toshi does what he was asked and sits down on the green grass.
The ravenet and silver haired boy looks down at the endless fields around them, it’s almost like they’re confined in their own little world, with just the two of them, it’s fine if no one ever came for Gin, Toshi would stay with him till the end of time.
