Carson was quickly peeking into the waiting room when she saw her.
Her gorgeous red hair. Her deep brown eyes. The clipboard resting on top of her legs that seemed to go on forever.
Carson felt her breath, or maybe her heart, catch in the back of her throat. She ran back to the office area to find Max catching up on notes.
“Max, you have to switch patients with me and take this eval.”
“And why would I do that?”
“Because I’m going to marry that girl, and the first time I touch her cannot be in this office.”
